I just won $105 in ETH from a Coinbase sweepstakes without making a purchase. There's a new sweepstakes to enter right now - and you don't need to make any trades to enter.

Coinbase often runs sweepstakes where people can win quite a bit of crypto. Usually, they require some kind of stipulation like needing to make a $100 trade or something. This is great for them, since their fees are exorbitant.

However, the United States requires that such promotions have an option where no purchase is necessary. Coinbase obviously doesn't advertise this, but they don't hide it. Every sweepstakes I've entered thus far have been from the same method: a hand written mail-in entry.

I've always been a bit skeptical that my mail entries were even correctly considered, but today I got proof that they are in fact entered into their drawings... because I won!

So then, this goes to show that you should always read the fine print! I'm sure there are many people who begrudgingly enter these sweepstakes by making the purchases and eating the fees. You don't have to anymore!

All it costs is an envelope, an index card, a stamp, 5 minutes, and the ability to follow instructions.
