Before crypto I was a noob when it came to finances. I had never invested in stocks or started saving for retirement. Every since getting into crypto almost 18 months ago my financial decision making has gotten much better and I save every penny and invest everything I can afford to lose.
The feeling of knowing I have a nest egg/base that I'm not going to touch for the next 10-20 years is gratifying. It gives me a sense of security and well being I never had before.
Crypto has taught me to make a plan, work and save, and stick to that goal. Hitting a target amount of crypto is gratifying and rewarding, especially when you are staking at the same time. The more you have/save, the more you make. It's a positive feed back loop that I've become addicted to.
The legacy banking system feels like such a scam once you find a block chain that you believe in. For me this is Algorand + Yieldly. The Algorand governance model is amazing, 2-3% returns every 3 months for simply voting. I also hold Yieldly which is the ultimate staking token, it's given me exposure to tons of ASA's on the Algorand network. Algorand + Yieldly is completely passive income.
I feel bad for people trapped in legacy financial models and savings accounts that give .01%. Crypto is a once in a life time opportunity to get in on projects on the ground floor that will radically change and disrupt industries.
We're all lucky to be here. Find projects you believe in with real use cases and remember to zoom out. Set financial goals, stick to them, and be patient. Stake it and forget it!
Does anyone else have this experience? Saving and building wealth is addicting!
