I'm going to liquidate my precious metals for bitcoin

So I have about 10K in precious metals locked up in a bank vault. This is my long-term savings investment and essentially my life's savings. However, gold and silver have done very little to fight even inflation let alone increase in value in any meaningful way or hedge against anything over the last several years since I've owned it.

Now, I know cryptocurrency. I know it's volatile and I've traded it plenty. I like to trade altcoins that i have never heard of for massive profits and then get out of there before it all collapses. I'm not going to do that with my life savings, though. I'm just going to park it in Bitcoin for the year and let it run its course. I figure with all the hype and the halving this is pretty much an unloseable bet, and I'm sure many of you agree
