Hi there. New to Reddit. But need advice on a situation involving Crypto & Employer.
So I am being offered a remote position in my province only. Things look okayish but a few things put me off. First, they provided me with their Canadian Business Number with which I couldn't find the company. However, when I randomly copied and pasted that nub on Google search, the first result was about the company from a website called Canadian Business Directory. But when I tried to search for the same company manually in this directory, no result came up.
Secondly, HR told me to provide some bank details - except for the bank account nub like bank name, holder name, email etc. to transfer my salary via e-transfer or direct deposit whichever I prefer. But they also said that I would be making purchase transactions for their clients using Bitcoin - which the company will provide me via a personal Bitcoin wallet.
for bg info: I live in Canada. The employer company is registered in the same province where I live but not the same city. I am a newcomer to Canada hence have no idea how much legality Bitcoin holds.
Also, I am absolutely a novice to BITCOIN.
So experts, please tell me, is there anything fishy here? Is it normal practice when it comes to Bitcoin? Shall I provide my bank details?
Thank you
