Currently doing transactions cost money but reading is free and this follows the tokenomics of Bitcoin which is ideal for currency based applications.
But how about a system that does the reverse? Obviously the protocol would need to be rewritten as well as the tokenomics.
But a system which is decentralized and trustless and where people can dump data into it without needing to pay would be valuable. Those nodes can then charge people to read from it.
An obvious place where this could be used is in location based games which needs constant new data from players. It needs to be trustless so that different game devs cannot manipulate it to their advantage over other game devs. And reading needs to cost money because it needs to recover the operating costs somehow.
The protocol needs to be rewritten to minimize storage overhead so that it doesnβt grow unchecked. Maybe an address can only be written into only after it was been read from within the past 7 days.
