Is it smart holding BSC version of an ERC20 token for long term holds?

I bought some ChainLink to hold long term, about 15 LINK. I want to withdraw it to my hard wallet but the gas fees for withdrawing it from Binance on ERC20 is 1 LINK (about $22 at today's price) and I think that's a bit ridiculous considering I only have such a small amount. However, I can see that you can withdraw a BSC version for $0.17 and I was wondering if I was to hold this instead (2-5 years) , is that okay? I could just send it back to Binance over the BSC network to sell if I have to.

Thanks
