It helps Bitcoin to be critical of Bitcoin.

What doesn't kill you makes you stronger.

This applies to Bitcoin too. If we assume it's perfect, without even acknowledging that the protocol maay have some potential problems here and there, then it ends up being a disservice to Bitcoin.

If we shield Bitcoin from criticisms, we don't learn how its protocol may be able to be improved upon, or the right L2s to focus development on in order to account for any potential weaknesses. There's a reason why Bitcoin Core is constantly getting new updates, to become better and stronger. If everyone thought the same and didn't try to challenge Bitcoin, we wouldn't be making it better. Thank god for the Devs who actually care and aren't sitting around coddling it.

If you're afraid of critically thinking about its criticisms or problems, then perhaps that's a clue that you're not truly secure with it. Why defend something that's already strong?

I'm a huge advocate of Bitcoin. 95% of my wealth is in it. But still, I prefer to be a devil's advocate. To challenge it. And so far, the more I challenge it, the more my resolve has strengthened.

Let's not eliminate criticism. Let's help Bitcoin become even more resilient by challenging it. This will truly help the technology adopt even more global confidence.

And yes, that also means number goes up.

If you're personally invested in Bitcoin in any way - financially, psychologically - then I encourage you to not be sheepish, delicate, fearful, and blindly faithful in your relationship to it.

Don't just absorb talking points that support your desires to battle the talking points of the 'opposition.' Be intellectually curious. Think for yourself. Get critical.

It might feel better psychologically if you have a lot of secret doubts that you'd rather not fear, but in the long run, it's the better path.
