It's only human to think Bitcoin is a scam at first

I was told about Bitcoin in 2012. There was nothing attractive about the sales pitch because I didn't really look up to the person who told me, financially, at all.

I did not have a strong feeling one way or another but if you were to ask me to take sides I’d have sided on fake internet Ponzi money through 2016ish. I finally stumbled upon a few PhD caliber podcasts that I decided to let play though on a long drive. I did not know much about what they were talking about at first. However, one thing I am good at is bullshit detection and seeing intelligence in other people. The people speaking were very bright individuals, and it kind of ate me up inside that I knew nothing about bitcoin and there were obviously people out there who were likely brighter than myself complimenting the principals of it. How can that be that these individuals could have actually given Bitcoin a chance, and are even promoting it?

I was very onboard with the fact that the current system was fucked, but I really didn't see a way out other than making wise investments and being frugal.

A spark was lit and the itch started to set in. I read articles here and there to try and gain understanding over the next year and then I finally read The Bitcoin Standard.

All the doubts I used to have about Bitcoin started to melt away via verifiable information and were replaced with cold hard facts that I not only understood and felt strongly about, but could explain to other people articulately.

Learning about Bitcoin has taught me more about monetary history and principles than anything else. I own a few rentals and am a supply chain profession who specializes in natural resource compliance. I thought I was pretty savvy, financially, but it turns out I was traditionally finance savvy and basically just lived with the fact that the system is shit.

Now I see people differently who are against it. These people have either A. Not put the time and effort in or B. May not be able to free themselves from years of traditional finance and macro brainwashing.

I guess I'm saying; Stay humble out there. Stack sats.
