Looking for active crypto projects & communities for fun/hobby

Hi all,

Have been in and out of crypto since 2019 and really miss that feeling of smaller projects with active communities working together on building out something everyone believed in or had fun with. Ever since the most recent large boom, having a hard time finding that. Most project websites/whitepapers just seem carbon copies of whatever they think will attract investment so the founders can cash out by claiming to be the next BTC, ETH, or “better.” Hoping there’s any pockets of communities left that are less about “to the moon” and more about just building out something special and positive on their corner of Web3.

If you are a part of such a project or community can you share, or recommend some you have heard positive things about? Just looking to be a participating voice, put in a small amount of $ and have fun.

Hopefully there’s some positive suggestions out there and I don’t get flamed out of the wazoo for this post :)
