Lots of opportunities for blockchain developers despite the bear market!

This bear market seems to be different after all.

Okay, wait, hear me out!

I'll be dropping a list of ongoing/upcoming hackathons, bounties, and grants for blockchain developers.

I was not here for the last bear market, I don't know how it was then but from what I've learned on this sub, everywhere was pretty dead and activity levels were near zero, there was despair everywhere and suicide helplines were pinned on subs. It all looks different this time with lots of projects still developing and engaging, in fact, there's a larger influx of developers this time and this is evidenced in the sheer number of hackathons/bounties/grants I was able to find searching just for 1 hour on Reddit (not Twitter or anywhere else).

1. OCEAN SHIPYARD & OCEAN x DIMITRA DATA CHALLENGE PHASE 2

Ocean Shipyard is an early-stage grant program established to fund the next generation of Web3 dApps built on Ocean Protocol. Emphasis is on developing Decentralised Backend Storages solutions on Ocean, Filecoin, Arweave and Storj.

Funding: $50,000 total
Deadline for submission: September 26th.

Ocean Protocol :: Dimitra Bounty Phase 2 will incentivize data analysis and the building of algorithms to harness the power of agricultural data for global change.

Funding: $10,000 for 1st to 3rd place and an extra spot for community award
All valid entries will also receive 250 OCEAN tokens for participation.
Deadline for submission: September 30th.

2. MOONBEAM'S CONNECTED CONTRACTS

Build and launch your cross-chain dApps on the Moonbeam network for a chance to win prizes from a $55,000 USDC award pool. Moonbeam’s Connected Contracts Hackathon is made possible by the Moonbeam Foundation, Axelar Foundation, and Arrington Capital.

Funding: $55,000 in total prizes
Date: From August 15 to September 26th. Just a week left.

3. POLKADOT LATAM HACKATHON

6 exclusive weeks of technical content where you can benefit from workshops, mentoring and all the necessary support to enjoy the event ! If you are a white hat Hacker, you want to prove your worth and you also want to continue learning, this is your site.

Funding: $141,000 in total prizes
Date: From September 26th to November 19th.

4. METAFI THE COINEX SMART CHAIN CHALLENGE

Build a Dapp on CoinEx Smart Chain and deploy on at least Testnet.

Funding: $100,000 in total prizes
Date: August 10th to October 28th.

5. BUIDL FOR WEB3 HACKATHON (2022) by LUMOS LABS

Develop projects on the following tracks: Polygon, Aerternity, Dfinity (Internet Computer), Tezos, Tatum, Fluence, Arcana Network, Komet, Router Protocol, Revise Network and AssetMantle.

Funding: grand pool of US $100,000
Additional Prize Money by BuidlersTribe - Grant up to $25,000* each in convertible Grant.
Date: September 1st to November 13th.

6. KEEP IT CONFIDENTIAL: SAPPHIRE HACKATHON BY OASIS NETWORK

Oasis Network is looking for innovative front-running resistant and privacy-first applications built on Sapphire. A familiar EVM environment with added confidentiality and privacy-preserving technology that opens up a new world of opportunities for builders.

Funding: $9,000 for first to third place
Date: September 14th to October 24th.

7. CHAINLINK FALL 2022 HACKATHON

Attend technical workshops run by expert developers. Connect and build alongside like-minded developers. And explore the best dev resources, environments, and languages.

Funding: grand pool of US $300,000+
Date: October 14th to November 18th.

TRON GRAND HACKATHON 2022 SEASON has to be the biggest hackathon held this year with $1,000,000 in prizes. It happened mid-year May to July.
