As posts like this are being made (and upvoted!) here: no, he absolutely did not. In the article linked in that other post, that has a misleading headline, it states:
Specifically, his company Berkshire Hathaway has bought $1 billion worth of stock in a digital bank that focuses on crypto. Berkshire Hathaway made its crypto investment public with a SEC filing earlier this week. It revealed that Buffettβs company had purchased $1 billion in shares of Nubank, a digital bank based in Brazil, and the largest of its kind in Latin America.
Okay, that's not him investing in crypto. But even that seems misleading. Go to the website of Nubank. On the front page, there is not a single mention of crypto. Sure, they might not be awerse to crypto and offer some products, but neither did he invest in Crypto, nor in a bank that has somehow made crypto its main business. His holding company has invested in a bank that maybe also does some crypto stuff. EDIT: okay, to spell it out for you: it really does not seem that that bank really has anything to do with crypto. It just seems like disinformation. If you have proof to the contrary and this is a crypto-focused bank - please, post a source!!
Don't share misleading stuff like that.
