At 24 years old, I currently own 0.498 BTC, but I can’t help feeling like it’s not enough. I consistently DCA into Bitcoin every month, with the hope of becoming a whole coiner someday. When I read that less than 1% of the world’s population will ever have the opportunity to own even 0.1 BTC, it really puts things into perspective.
This highlights an interesting aspect of human nature — we’re often driven to want more, regardless of how much we already have. I’ve realized that even if I achieved the goal of owning 1 BTC, I might immediately start worrying about not having 2. It’s a perpetual feedback loop of wanting to accumulate more.
That said, the fact that any of us owns Bitcoin at all is remarkable. We are still early in the grand scheme of things (Only 1.3% of the world’s population holds any BTC at all). Every dollar converted into Bitcoin represents a step toward protecting your financial future, especially considering the concerning trajectory of US debt.
Stay consistent, keep DCAing, and HODL.
