P2p transaction

Hi,

A friend of mine tried purchasing some usdt using p2p transfer, after the payment, the seller sent out an url and said that it would need identification. They asked to provide a picture of his id, a selfie, personal information, and proof of residence in the form of a document that has your address and name on it. However it can't be a phone bill or medical bill. And must be a utulity bill or a bank statement. I feel like they are asking for alot of information and think there might be identity fraud at play. Any thoughts on this? Is it normal for them to ask for all this information? Thanks
