People are missing the point with this Ledger controversy

It’s opt-in.

If you don’t want to use the service it has no effect on you. Ledger doesn’t know your seed phrase, you’re the only one that knows it as it’s generated after you receive your ledger. You’re the only one who knows your address unless you share it.

Your ledger can’t be KYCd back to you unless you opt in.

If you have a ledger just pretend like they never even made the announcement and continue using it as cold storage.
