So most/all of us know what happen. Ledger wallet said it isn't possible to export your seed from the device through an update. They made a way. People freaked out and took off to other wallets and some are stuck because nearly all the other hardware wallet companies were so heavily back order even after 2 months they haven't caught up.
Ledger shadow ban people like me for asking questions and pointing out facts, Ledger double down calling the users stupid in saying we don't know how a hardware wallet works. Then they mention they were going to open source the stuff and pointed to the Ledger Live app which is already open source. They never open source the firmware and are pushing it HARD on people to the point their device is a brick without it. And every time u/btchip "Ledger Co-Founder" talks. Comedy comes out.
I highly recommend following it if you want to be entertained for a bit. Or sadden by how delusional someone is.

Even then if a site supported ledger directly the ledger live app didn't pick up the url, only through wallet connect would it work. What Ledger is not willing to agree to is that the community at large does not seem to want to use that feature, and that the inclusion of code capable of executing it makes them uncomfortable. They want that code removed from their devices, and since they don’t plan to use it inclusion represents an increased attack surface with no perceived benefit to them. Ledger should just release a firmware without recovery and be done this this drama. Unless this release is to cover up something else, I see no reasonable justification to not #ifdef0 it out on a different firmware with this amount of backlash. Personally, unless it’s technically overly burdensome, I feel like there is something else going on here and that you need that code in the firmware for some other reason.

The same post it was about why is this firmware pushed when the service isn't even out. btchip: Released here means actual activation of the service so that users can subscribe to it. In the meantime the firmware and Live have different release schedules and are moving forward. This isn't how you run a crypto company. Even more a hardware company. Because we been kicked in the gut so many times by the gov. Many are suspecting this entire thing to be corruption. Basically some gov power or other power is pushing this. But it could be just pure stupidity at this point.
Note even after I fully move over I'm keeping an eye out on them because there is no way we don't get a class action from all of this. But at this point I think it is likely the company will become bankrupt from this at the end
