Privacy reminder

So I woke up this morning to notifications that my binance account had been accessed by an IP address in the US ( I'm located in Australia ). Panic ensued, like serious panic. Luckily the log in was only 10min prior to waking up and I was quick enough to lock down my binance before suffering any kind of loss. I just spent the last hour securing my various accounts, enabling 2FA and taking all the security steps possible to make sure this can't happen again. I even have a hardware wallet that I had just been too lazy to set up

No one ever thinks they will be the target of a hacking attempt, or the victim of compromised details but today was a sobering reminder that anyone and everyone is a target. The damage could have been pretty bad for me, while I hold 60% of my coins in wallets, I hold the rest on the exchange just so I can swap and play with the highs and lows. Very scary to think that it could have been taken from me so easily.
