PSA: DCA'ing is not some god given strategy that this sub makes it out to be

For the past 6 months, almost nothing but "Don't worry, just start DCA'ing right now" posts have been spammed non-stop on this sub. People were DCA'ing ETH at 2.5k as if they were blind to what was happening in the economy. The writing has been on the wall for months, now is not the time to buy or even DCA. There are so many socio-economic problems going on in the world at the same time that it is almost comedic. What would possible make you want to put money into the economy right now.

Meanwhile this sub was peddling to keep putting money in. So stupid and all those hundreds of upvoted posts on the front page created so many bag holders for no reason. You should have saved cash for the upcoming recession but instead you're bagholding imaginary coins when you may need that money for food or shelter depending on how bad this gets. Or you could have saved that cash for when shit really hits the fan and get a great deal on the coins.

To think we are close to the bottom in this economical climate is asinine and you're wasting money DCA'ing at this current point. Just relax, wait this out, and save cash. DCA'ing is not some god given strategy that this sub makes it out to be.

DCA'ing is completely fine in a normal/good economy, which is what happened in 2018 up till now. In a recession, or whatever monstrosity we are going through right now, it's a no go. Stop catching falling knifes
