PSA: Don't Make My Mistake with Vault - A Reminder to Back Up Your Passphrase and Vault Password!

So happy right now I found my password to my vault, I don't have the most crypto and avatar but I loved them nonetheless.

So my mistake is that thinking the vault will always be open with my account and the passphrase is just so when I forgot about my account.

That is true and false, it is true you need the passphrase when you forgot about your vault and want to recover it but you will also need it in case the vault is locked. If you are like me who just open the vault few years ago then forgot about it, their is a big chance the vault in your app is lock and you need either the Vault Password or Passphrase.

This experience was a wake-up call for me, and I want to pass on a friendly reminder to everyone in this community. Do a back up your passphrase or vault password. Don't be like me, who remembered opening a vault but didn't bother doing backups a second thought.

Very controversial suggestion but cloud backup might be a good way for you, as seen on the update post 6 months ago: weve_upgraded_your_vault_cloud_backup_vault

You are now able to backup your vault passphrase in google cloud and should be encrypted, I haven't done yet a lot of research on it but it might be a good idea to do.

So, take a moment to secure your investment and avoid the potential heartache of being locked out of your vault.
