This is something all systems, business, governments, and of course crypto projects need to begin planning for.

Crypto needs more time for consensus on the tradeoffs of proposed solutions, plus time for user action. This is because many projects will require wallet holders to take the necessary steps.

If they are last to upgrade, they become the first target. As we know, hacks in crypto are also easier to get away with, adding to the urgency to act.

The good news is we have encryption proposals to combat it. Why not do this sooner than later?
