Question about address reuse

I'm testing out sending money from cold wallets and noticed that when I sent a small amount of money from wallet A to wallet B, there are 2 outputs, 1 that sends a small sum to wallet A (my desired transaction) and output 2 which sends the remaining sum to the same wallet back (the originating wallet - public address). Wasn't it supposed to send the money to a new public address that's still tied to the same private key? I thought this was part of not re-using addresses for privacy and security.

Note - I'm using the latest version of Electrum wallet. Anyone able to explain because I'm just confused. Was the 2nd output supposed to go to a new address or is it ok that it went back to the same address? Trying to wrap my head around something I thought I already understood lol.
