Recurrent Buys - What is your strategy?

I have been recurrently buying sats on Relai, but with the increasing fees and my small weekly orders, I see consolidating all those UTXOs becoming increasingly expensive.

Now I am thinking about buying recurrently on exchanges and then send them to cold storage when enough sats has been accrued.

Is anyone else having a similar strategy? I have seen people saying they stack as small as $2 dollars a day, but those would be eaten immediately if sent directly to cold storage.
