Reminder, Coinbase will not text you for confirmations. Watch out for Phishing.

I know this has been posted several times over the past year, but lately i've been receiving a lot more text phishing (also email) from "Coinbase". When you see this you'll most likely feel very panicked and concerned about your account, so it's good to be mindful that these are most likely a phishing attempt on your account information.

Today's text was "Here is your Coinbase withdrawal confirmation cxe867zd92d0p. If you did not authorize this transaction click here to verify your account".

Reminder right from Coinbase: If you receive a text message reporting that you’ve received digital currency that you did not authorize, it is likely a phishing attempt. Coinbase does not send out texts to verify transactions. Notice that the links here do not direct you to www.coinbase.com. Do not click these links.

Also, email scams are even more prevalent:

When hovering over the hyperlink in this email example above, you will find that it directs you to a page that is not Coinbase.com. This is an immediate red flag – do not engage with these emails.

Always double-check who the email sender is. It may appear to be coming from "Coinbase," but you will find that the email address above is not from a sender with a u/coinbase**.com email address. Official communication will come from an email addresses ending in** u/coinbase**.com only. Any variation from this may be indicative that the email you received is malicious in nature.**

I've seen too many posts since joining this community where someone's funds are lost as they accidentally gave up their account info.

Stay vigilant out there, and please keep your money in a wallet off these exchanges if at all possible.

EDIT: As Jeko00000 mentions below, always use 2FA to secure your account and verify transactions.
