Read about a family who inherited their dad's estate. Grant of probate. Death certificate. Everything legal.

They found his Ledger in a drawer.

Nobody knew the PIN. Nobody knew the recovery phrase. Nobody knew which exchanges he used.

Legally theirs. Practically gone forever.

This got me thinking how many people actually have a plan for this?

From what I can tell, the problem is bigger than just crypto:

• Hardware wallets need PINs and seed phrases
• Exchange accounts need 2FA that dies with your phone
• Even email accounts that everything else is tied to become inaccessible
• HMRC (UK) treats crypto as property for inheritance tax so your estate owes tax on assets they can't even access

Some numbers floating around:

• $68B estimated inaccessible due to lost keys (Chainalysis)
• 89% of holders have no inheritance plan

Has anyone here actually dealt with this as an executor? Did exchanges cooperate? Were you able to recover hardware wallet funds?

And genuinely do you have any kind of plan set up for your own holdings? Curious what people actually do in practice.

If this is not an indicator that stocks, particularly tech stocks, are not interrelated with crypto then I don't know what is.

Stockmarket (Tech) does not = Crypto!!!

WTAF is going on here?

While everyone's been staring at BTC price action and ETF outflows, Vitalik dropped an actual technical roadmap for making. Ethereum quantum-resistant. I've read through it and the implications go way beyond ETH.

Here's what's being proposed:

BLS signatures replacing ECDSA as the primary scheme. This is the big one, ECDSA is vulnerable to quantum attacks and BLS isn't.

KZG commitments getting a security review against quantum threat models. These are what power the current proto-danksharding setup.

Staking and validator key rotation being restructured to survive a theoretical quantum break without requiring a hard fork at gunpoint.

Why this matters for the whole space and not just ETH holders: if Ethereum actually executes this roadmap, it becomes the first major smart contract platform with a credible quantum defense plan. That matters because quantum computing timelines keep getting shorter. IBM's roadmap has them at 100,000+ qubits by 2033. Google's Willow chip already demonstrated error correction.

Now, whether that's real enough to threaten ECDSA-based chains is debated. But the market tends to price these things once they move from "theoretical risk" to "named technical response." Vitalik publishing an actual roadmap with specific cryptographic targets is that transition.

The other thing happening simultaneously: the ETH Foundation is restructuring into what Vitalik called a "smaller ship." Less overhead, more focused on protocol resilience and privacy. If you squint, these two moves together look like ETH preparing for a world where the competition isn't other L1s, it's external disruption.

BTC doesn't have a quantum roadmap. Most L1s don't. If quantum resistance becomes a narrative in the next cycle (and I think it will once quantum computing hits mainstream tech coverage), the chains that have actual plans in place will get the premium.

This isn't financial advice and I'm not saying go buy ETH. I'm saying the technical infrastructure discussion is shifting in ways that aren't showing up in price yet.

At the moment have some positions in stocks and ETFs but I want to put 20% of my capital in Crypto as I believe it’s going to be important in the future. I was thinking about DCAing into BTC and ETH or buying when the crypto fear and greed index reaches extreme fear. I was wondering if maybe there are some key price levels to buy at?

In summary, I am a beginner to crypto and want to invest in the long term, how should I do it and what should I invest into?

I’ve made money from crypto before, specifically from Solana, but the rest, Bitcoin, Ethereum, Fantom, XRP, and Shiba (throws up in mouth) have all made me lose money. And I genuinely held for YEARS. I had the mindset of, “If I don’t sell it then it won’t be at a loss, if I wait long enough then it will go back up.” So I held for years. I was a good boy with diamond hands instead of wet paper bag hands. Until I saw a comment that really opened my eyes. It said, “So your strategy is to buy high and never sell?”

A month ago, before selling my crypto, I decided to try my hand at buying stocks in a brokerage account. Specifically Ai stocks, like Micron and SanDisk. SanDisk is now up 72% for me and Micron is up 54% with gains of 16% today. I could only watch my stock investments go up, and crypto go down more so much before I decided to sell the crypto. At first I was like, “I’ll just wait until my crypto breaks even, then I’ll sell it and put it into stocks.” Then I realized . . . Why am I waiting for crypto to go back up while I’m literally watching my stock investments go up in front of my eye?

Certain crypto whales are in a peculiar position. They hold wealth that is, by every technical measure, more auditable than any traditional asset: every transaction, every wallet, every transfer sits on a public ledger any compliance officer can read. Yet banks sometimes treat incoming fiat from a crypto exchange as radioactive.

The actual friction point for crypto whales banking isn't account opening. The issue is Source of Wealth and Source of Funds, the moment compliance asks how the money was made and where your money came from. That's what the compliance department at the bank is built to verify: clean funds, no laundering risk.

Typical profiles affected:

• Early miners (solo and pool) with missing intermediary wallets or original receiving wallets
• BTC bought pre-2015 on exchanges that no longer exist (BTC-e, Cryptopia, Mt. Gox, etc)
• Algo/high frequency traders with thousands/millions of executions across exchanges and on-chain
• DeFi users with activity across chains, bridges, LPs, farms
• ETH ICO and token sale participants
• LocalBitcoins and other P2P buyers
• Privacy-coin holders with limited on-chain visibility
• People paid in BTC for services or businesses years ago
• People with "tainted" funds because they interacted with "high risk" counterparties

For traditional wealth, profiles give documents compliance has processed for decades: payslips, business sale agreements, inheritance docs, property transactions, audited accounts.

The issue with crypto is that compliance is not used to dealing with type of source of funds/wealth, and they are usually not trained/comfortable to understand it or have the tools be able to validate it.

The irony is that most of what compliance actually needs already exists. On-chain history is complete and public. Active exchange accounts retain trade history, deposit and withdrawal logs, and fiat funding records. Operational mining pools still hold payout histories; solo miners have block rewards visible directly on chain. Transaction history, address provenance, timestamps are all verifiable on demand.

The real gaps are narrow: dead exchanges (trading data unavailable), wallets abandoned a decade ago, undocumented P2P trades. These usually need "risk mitigation" to be accepted.

A bit of unsolicited advice for anyone in this position: talk to the bank before cashing out, not after. Ask explicitly what they need for Source of Wealth and Source of Funds. Requirements vary bank to bank and some won't accept crypto-origin funds at all, regardless of documentation. Better to find that out before the wire moves than after.

Over the past few years plenty of banks have become more crypto-friendly. But this is still a real obstacle for holders worldwide. When does the rest of the industry catch up?

I’d tell myself not to chase every coin people are hyping on Twitter. Also, learn wallet security early. I spent too much time looking for the “next 100x” and not enough time understanding seed phrases, approvals, and fake links.

I have these thoughts on crypto regulation for anti-money laundering and tax purposes.
I know little of the current political space. Just speculation.

1. Anonymity of small transactions could become less private.

Government mandate reporting of personal addresses for tax paying purposes.
Exchanges reports trades and outflows to nominated addresses.
If a government says transactions for personal use under a limit, such as 10k, are tax-free.
Your only purpose for wanting an anonymous wallet is to circumvent tax on purchases over 10K, except most assets at this size require POI/KYC OR for small transaction privacy conerns i will talk about further down.
Government will require business wallet addresses to be reported.
They can then link all Citizens with small spending habits.

If you purchase from a marketing company (Fb, Google etc), or one that sells data to a data broker, if the marketing company/broker then collects a list of business addresses, they can see your spending habits (not individual items, just cost at a shop).
This also means these companies can identify big fish (large investors, founders, insiders) and track their trades, or spending habits for geo-tracking and corporate espionage (im sure the potential exists).

2. Wallet address + Identity Association - Security and CBDC Roles

If these marketing companies/broker, government, or any company that registers your identity with wallet address is hacked.
You are open to hacking (social engineering/phishing emails/sim swap 2FA/kidnapping/blackmail/Scams).
A bank would normally protect/manage compromised accounts.
Now it's up to you.
If a service like haveibeenpwned.com existed for these exposed links (identity+wallet) you would need to transfer funds to a new wallet, but it would be on the ledger.
So you would rely on a tumbler, monero, or what i believe will happen.

A CBDC funds exchange service. You send them your funds from a compromised account, using them like a VPN privacy layer (as their ledger is private), then they send funds to nominated new wallet address.

3. Integration of these concerns and BAN lists

If private and business wallets are recorded by government, they may choose to use BAN address lists. To prevent tax avoidance and crime.
They may even say "If its not registered it is banned, until it is registered".
In this senario it would make BTC/ALTS banned from direct purchasing of goods and services unless there was a new protocol layer to cross-reference with updated BAN lists.

More likely they will require BTC conversion via lightning to CBDC smart contract at the terminal to accept or deny based on registering status of the wallet address.
Meaning the bank will still see your every small transaction, and will likely take a fee as well.

It'd be difficult to implement this for just 1 country as travellers would be restricted to traditional currency systems. Unless.
It works into the current SWIFT network of participating banks in many countries.
So again the banks see all, the government controls functionality of funds:
You own it in cold wallets, but they restrict where you can use it.

4. Banks, CBDC and loans

Banks need peoples money in storage - so they can create loans with fractional reserve lending.
If they have less in the bank, less loans, so naturally they will subsidise some of this loss by becoming a payment processor.
Maybe Crypto Staking pools will be allowed with 3rd parties, or even banks!
But IMO the government like small number of big entities for 'easier' regulation.
There is worry of how smaller businesses might manage risk profiles A+, A, B etc... lumping of credit loans (GFC crash).
This may be a way they can recuperate bank balances for loan creation from staking.
Or time-release smart contracts so you can still withdraw funds slowly during a crisis instead of a pure bank hold, so you own the funds in a private key, its access is blocked for a certain time after request which allows banks some time and less risk to offer loans with their fractional reserve requirements.

TLDR;

How this may look.
You store in cold wallets.
So banks cannot with-hold withdrawals in a time of crisis or market upheaval.
But the government now can BAN you based on changing aggressiveness and thresholds for applying BAN lists to prevent circumventing tax, money-laundering and crime proceeds.
They can also see your spending habits at retailers which they were not privvy to previously unless they Audited you.

Hackers and Marketing Companies know even more about you.
Marketing companies that associate identity to personal wallet addresses can compare to Business Address registers, and now also have personal spending habit data, can identify big fish for insider trading and corporate espionage.

If government force a BTC to CBDC conversion at payment terminals to compare to the BAN lists, banks will then see all spending data, again, and likely charge as a payment processor due to less people holding CBDC/Fiat in their Bank accounts (if in cold wallet opposed to multi-crypto friendly banking wallets).
Loaning systems with the banks is disrupted which will affect economies if 3rd party solutions are created and regulated.
Any compromise of your account requires a CBDC privacy fund transfer service to a new wallet, or tumbler or monero.
Banks if multi-cryto friendly would be able to control your funds.
Unless they designed a delay-released of funds protocols for parking crypto assets in you bank account, which reduces bank risk profile to use that capital to create loans. While maintaining some ability to hold ownership based on a smart contract without them halting it until they feel like it.

Lately I’ve been seeing more people using grid strategies because of how the market has been moving. With this level of volatility, it feels like leaving a bot completely untouched for days doesn’t work as well anymore.

Features like these seem a lot more useful now:

• dynamic grids that adapt better after price breakouts
• being able to modify parameters without stopping the strategy
• adjusting position sizes while the bot is still running

I still think grids work well in sideways markets, but during sharp moves, flexibility seems to make a big difference.

A response to several popular FUD posts I've seen the last few days. No this is not another mindless AI post. No AI was used or harmed in the making of this post.

I can't tell if someone is trying to shake out retail or if a few of you here are just that good of people who are genuinely concerned with your fellow degenerates possibly riding this bear market deeper than they expected when POTUS finishes wrecking the global economy with his war on oil, Iran, ethics, morality, and decency. I don't know, something about the FUD feels very disingenuous. Even one of the Bankless podcast guys said he sold his Ethereum last week - all of it? I assume he still sold at a profit but still....odd thing to announce. Odd thing to announce, from him especially. Long story short the FUD feels manufactured albeit not completely baseless given the market at this moment in time. But how short are our memories of the progress?

So what's the verdict then? Everyone should just sell all their crypto and leave and go where? AI stocks are grossly inflated already. Grossly. Like, only thing holding up the S&P. S&P is in a massive bubble. Real estate is inflated and has record numbers of sellers outnumbering buyers (yet prices don't come down). So, what's the play? Hope it ain't SpaceX. So what then? Sell all your crypto in a bear market and sit on 100% cash - see if you can be a mini Berkshire and wait for the full on crash that may never come. The crash Michael Burry has been predicting for years. The crash that may not come as deeply as you think, or will hit so hard and recover so fast (remember Berkshire has those buy limits set) you'll miss the dip entirely. Or, do you stay exposed in crypto and await the waive of growth that you believed would come back when you first started buying?

I disagree that cryoto as an industry had its run and is essentially done. Reading popular FUD posts lately you wouldn't think it's anything but dead though. I personally still think it's just getting started. Are the rate of returns diminishing over time - sure, if we are talking Bitcoin, but that's natural with any asset over time. And yeah, Ethereum has been stagnant last five years with a weak peak this last bull run. Alt season didn't happen, or hasn't happened. But is explosive and maintainable growth still possible ? I think yes.

By mid-2024, fewer than 1% of 401(k) plans offered crypto exposure. In other words most plans still don’t include crypto ETFs even though they’re now legal to hold in retirement accounts. The same is true of pension plans. Plan administrators have fiduciary duties and they don't want to get accused of violating them by including something new, lacking significant history, whose price can fluctuate significantly. Of 401k plans that exist they are still very limited with a Bitcoin Spot ETF first approved in January 2024 and an Ethereum ETF shortly after. In recent years more and more major financial advisors began offering crypto assets including Morgan Stanley, JP Morgan, BlackRock, Schwab, Robinhood, Fidelity, and even to Van Guard who said it would never do it. This list will grow with regularity clarity and the degree to which these institutional activity promote it to their customers will grow too.

Major financial advisors seeking crytpo ETFs aside, major trad-fi players like Black Rock also already build on blockchains like Ethereum. It built its tokenized money market fund BUIDL on it in March of 2024. Other chains may find demand for their block space that doesn't yet exist as global financial markets go on-chain and more institutions BUIDL products on-chain. If more institutions build on public block chains like Ethereum, Cardano, Hedera, Solana, Algorand, etc., then demand for their corresponding tokens will rise too as the fees to pay for the transactions have to be paid in those tokens.

I only reference these names as specific examples because in March of 2026, the SEC and CFTC issued guidance naming these specific cryptocurrencies (16 in total) as non-security "digital commodities" subject to CFTC oversight. A guidance paper issued by the SEC and CFTC in and of itself is another important piece of regularly clarity and legitimization, despite not having the weight of law.

More important than this ETF stuff and SEC guidance papers is legislation. The GENIUS Act (Guiding and Establishing National Innovation for U.S. Stablecoins Act) was signed into law in July 2025. It established the first comprehensive regulatory framework for payment stablecoins in the United States.

The CLARITY Act (Digital Asset Market Clarity Act of 2025) is now pending, and being flushed out in Congress as we speak. It is bipartisan legislation designed to establish a comprehensive regulatory framework for the cryptocurrency industry in the United States. Together, GENIUS and CLARITY will help usher in a new era of digital finance.

Let's not forget we also have a very pro crypto President in the U.S., even if he also used it to rug-pull you all with his Trump coin right after his election. He may be a war monger, inflating away the dollar, stomping on due process and immigrants in the U.S., but that aside, he is advancing these crypto related laws, ushering in the future of digital finance. It may be the only thing he's doing well. He also signed an Executive Order in March of 2025 to establish a Strategic Bitcoin Reserve and a U.S. Digital Asset Stockpile. Again, not unwise given it's merely being created through asset forfeiture, not purchase with taxpayer funds. In July of 2024 Germany for instance sold off its Bitcoin reserves form asset forfeitures - $3 billion worth of holdings - at $62,000 per coin. This is below even today's bear market low and 3-4 years from now will look especially foolish.

I see lots to be optimistic about. I'm not any more scared for crypto in the short term (1-3 years) than I am for the stock market or economy as a whole. War, civil unrest, inflation, and global economic recession is a risk to everything. But I think leaving crypto entirely is leaving a lot on the table. It is the only new asset class in existence and it has the most room to grow by virtue of being the youngest. It doesn't feel new to many of you/us because it's been so violently chaotic at times - especially since 2021 - but that's just mental fatigue talking, not reason. Run away if you want but I'm riding this train into the 2030s.

Reminder of other progress since 2021:

-In June of 2021 El Salvador became the first country in the world to adopt bitcoin as legal tender.

-In November of 2021 the US congress passed an infrastructure bill that included for the first time ever provisions addressing crypto currency, taxes, and reporting requirements. While controversial, Congress has continued to discuss legislation, and passed the GENIUS act in 2025 and is working on the CLARITY act now.

-In September of 2022 the White House released the first-ever comprehensive framework for the responsible development of digital assets, ushering in a new level of US acknowledgement of the perceived risks and benefits of crypto.

-In mid 2021 Visa first announced it would begin settling transactions with USDC stable coin. Speaking at the StarkWare Sessions 2023 conference in Tel Aviv, the head of Visa’s crypto operations said the company has “been testing how to accept settlement payments from issuers in USDC starting on Ethereum.

- In August 2022 Blackrock, the world's largest asset manager with $8 trillion in assets under management, partnered with Coinbase to give institutional clients access to Bitcoin. In December of 2022, the CEO of BlackRock predicted crypto's blockchain technology will usher in "the next generation for markets."

-In June of 2022 Solana announced development of its own smartphone to securely store crypto keys and provide seamless dapp integration.

-In early 2022 Los Angelas's former Staple Center became the Crypto.com arena. In mid 2022 the Home of the 76'ers, the former Wells Fargo Arena was renamed the Bankless Arena.

-In 2022 Polygon partnered with many major companies and is being utilized by Starbucks, Disney, Adidas, Stripe, Meta, and Reddit on a number of NFT and customer loyalty projects. (Yeah I know NFTs gave tanked since then).

- In October of 2022, BNY Mellon, the oldest bank in the United States, became the first bank in the US to launch its digital custody platform, allowing select clients to safeguard their Ether and Bitcoin holdings.

- In November of 2022 Fidelity announced it would offer Bitcoin and Ether trading to institutional clients. Since then it has begun offering Bitcoin and Eth purchase to its 401k retail customers.

-In November of 2022 it was reported that the JP Morgan wallet was now a registered trademark for cryptocurrency transfers and related services. The United States Patent and Trademark Office granted the application on Nov. 15. That same month, JPMorgan completed its first live cross-border transaction on a public blockchain using the Ethereum layer-two network Polygon, and a modified version of the aave protocol—a DeFi technology.

- In November of 2022 it was reported that Google is working with the Solana Network providing node & validator services.

- In January of 2023 Amazon began working with the Avalanche Network to provide cloud solutions for app-chains.

- In March of 2023 Microsoft was reportedly prepping to release a built-in non-custodial wallet for Microsoft Edge. Reportedly it's still working on this, so apparently no rush. We are in a bear market so expect little news from any company on anything crypto related.

Why doesn’t the APY pay me out in BTC and re reinvest in the coin I want?

Trying to build a framework for identifying genuinely sustainable yield-bearing tokens on Solana versus the vast majority that are just dressed-up emission schemes with temporary high APY.The four things I have come up with are: real economic activity as the yield source, yield paid in external assets not the native token, no lockup required, and an operational track record in real conditions. In the early days (up until around 2022) retail money hit exchanges in a very predictable way. We would buy spot, use leverage, and then risk on sentiment would cascade down the entire cap table. Put simply we would buy and hold the asset on chain. There was a lot of ON CHAIN ACTIVITY, and that made these markets reflexive.

Fast forward to now (the post 2022 era) and majority of capital comes in through institutional rails. What are institutional rails?

Bitcoin and ETH ETFs (thank BlackRock, Fidelity, etc), Corporate treasuries, custodians, regulated products etc…

ETFs for example do NOT act like old retail flows.

Somebody purchasing exposure to crypto through a brokerage account is NOT rotating profits into random tokens. Theyre buying paper receipts of the asset from megacorp.

Their passive exposure stays locked in these regulated wrappers so we don’t get any visible order book activity that used to trigger MOMENTUM CHASING ACROSS THE ENTIRE MARKET.

The chronically online traders of the old era would see capital moving and aggressively attempt to front run the flow down the cap curve, we don’t see that anymore.

Corporate treasury exposure is NOT chasing microcaps.

Pension allocations are NOT yield farming on chain.

I could honestly go on…

Basically all of that liquidity that used to move freely around the markets and create the conditions we NEEDED for alt season, is now STUCK inside heavily regulated wrappers around the biggest assets.

That’s why you watched BTC dominance go up for what felt like forever, whilst most alts simply bled out.

The majority left here are still psychologically expecting the old REFLEXIVE “everything will pump eventually” environment, but those earlier alt seasons only existed in a market with:

1. way less tokens (no hyper fragmentation)
2. no institutional infrastructure, in fact back then, these institutions were mass banning this stuff
3. more bots and MEV than humans
4. minimal competition for liquidity & attention

Listen to me carefully because this is what the BuLlS won’t tell you:

even if we’re FLOODED with an abundance of NEW liquidity tomorrow, don’t expect the classic alt season. We’ll see SELECTIVE strength in very FEW narratives. But that old retail driven rotation across hundreds of coins that defined previous cycles?

That meta is structurally broken.

The game itself has indeed changed!

Up until 2021 there had only ever been 20k tokens created on average. Since then in just 5 years, more than 40 MILLION tokens hit the market. Just stop and actually think about that increase for a second.

Oh and ai is only accelerating this problem.

You can now automate token creation at little to no cost.

Narratives are now mostly “generated”

Influencers are spamming like never before

Trading bots outnumber human participants

ENTIRE memecoin ecosystems are being manufactured algorithmically with 0 effort

So liquidity isn’t just fragmented across a forever exploding number of assets it’s now being farmed by literal machines

I could go on… but I won’t!

I was just on the Coinbase website and noticed they have different tiers of membership. Is it not weird that you need to pay for insurance for fraud? Shouldn't they have enough confidence in their systems to ensure that Fraud does not happen and if it does then they take care of it. At least that's how banks work. I understand they are not a bank but I feel like they are so large that at this point they should be able to provide that kind of confidence to their users. Am I missing something here!???

One thing becoming obvious is how many people in crypto understand almost nothing about how this market functions beneath surface level marketing narratives.

The space used to attract neurodiverse people obsessed with understanding cryptography, monetary history, market structure, liquidity flows, incentives, protocol mechanics, etc. People actually wanted to understand WHYY things behaved the way they did.

Fast forward to 2026 and most of the people left seem to think that if they personally cannot understand or model something then it must just be random chaos.

So every discussion around cycles, liquidity routing, miner issuance, reflexivity, or market structure gets dismissed as “cope” by people who have clearly never studied anything beyond CT memes, influencer clips, and price charts.

Bitcoin’s halving is literally hardcoded protocol behaviour. The issuance schedule is deterministic. That part is not speculation. The speculative part is how liquidity and market participants react around it. For years the same broad mechanics repeated because the same structural conditions repeated.

What changed this cycle is not Bitcoin suddenly ignoring its own supply dynamics. Bitcoin still responded to the halving largely as expected. What changed was the surrounding liquidity environment.

ETF flows, institutional custody, macro conditions, fragmented alt liquidity, market maker dominance, leverage structure, all of it changed how capital moved after Bitcoin absorbed liquidity.

But instead of learning any of this most people now just repeat brain dead one liners like “markets bro”, “priced in”, or “nobody knows anything” because they genuinely do not understand the system deeply enough to discuss it properly.

90% of the space now feels like low IQ online gamblers repeating slogans they heard from influencers while pretending everything is random because they personally cannot think beyond surface level narratives.

And before the comments fill with people screaming “alt season always returns when liquidity comes back” let me explain this like you are 5 years old:

Old alt seasons happened because retail users actually held and traded crypto directly on exchanges. Bitcoin would run first after the halving because new supply entering the market got cut in half while demand increased. Then people sitting on BTC profits would start rotating down the risk curve looking for bigger percentage gains. BTC profits moved into large caps, then mid caps, then eventually complete garbage. The entire market became reflexive because liquidity constantly recycled itself deeper into the ecosystem.

Now compare that to today.

A massive amount of Bitcoin demand now comes through ETFs and institutional products. BlackRock buys the BTC, it gets absorbed into custody, and the buyer holds exposure through traditional finance rails instead of actively rotating capital around crypto exchanges chasing altcoins.

At the same time there are now millions of tokens competing for attention instead of a relatively small pool of alts like previous cycles. Liquidity is fragmented to death. Market makers dominate order flow. Bots arbitrage everything instantly. Retail participation is weaker. Capital gets trapped in custody systems instead of endlessly cascading down the risk curve.

So even if huge liquidity arrived tomorrow it mathematically does NOT flow around the ecosystem in the same reflexive way it used to.

People are waiting for a version of alt season built on market structures that DONT exist anymore.

People assume the old mechanics still exist simply because they existed before.

They do not realise the structure underneath the market changed.

If this post instantly annoys you instead of making you think, you are probably exactly the type of participant I’m describing.

Binance is a fraud. They're tweaking the prediction market of BTC UP Down .
Theyre changing one thing or perhaps shifting the time a bit to forcibly make merchants unfastened their guess.

I'm trying to bridge multichain without going through Binance or Coinbase, the KYC process is invasive, the last thing I want is my ID sitting in a database somewhere especially with all these targeted attacks.

Is there a non-custodial exchange where i can actually get correct rates?

I guess it's safe to say that shiba platinum was a scam. It's been 4 years since we first heard of it.

I don't have 32ETHs (wish I had), so I can't solo stake with ETH. Two options I narrow it down to:

1. Ledger + Rocket pool (or lido)
2. Edge mobile App + in app Skating (based on Klin)

questions I have:

Question #1

I understand that for Approach 1 my ETH private keys are secure on the hardware. However, if I stake them, and I can't unstake them (any risk happens like contract risk (which I don't actually now what that is)) then there is no way I can use my ETHs anyway. So having it on a hardware add extra level of security. However, it does not help with staking risks.

If adding a hardware does not add much when I am staking ETHs is it truly worth investing in hardware? Or if I am extra cautious with my mobile wallet App, they are in the same league as well?

How more reliable is Lido and Rocket pool compared to Klin? I understand that they are both more transparent than Klin. However, seems like Klin is having a good reputation, and is working with multiple wallets. So, it might be an easy path for me to use it with Edge mobile app.

been watching exchange flows pretty obsessively lately and something felt off. ran 60 days of CryptoQuant across Binance, Coinbase, OKX, Kraken, Bybit. every $3B+ stablecoin window since 2021 (Q3 '21, Jan '23, Oct '23, Feb '24, Nov '24) pumped BTC 12% or more within a month. this time? nothing. GBTC and FBTC bled ~$1.9B in redemptions and market makers had to sell spot to settle those, which basically just drank the milkshake. you could actually see it on the order book, mid April and early May had these weird absorption walls on the bid side that just kept getting eaten. i had daily scrapes running on MuleRun so the data was already sitting there when the pattern clicked. sample size is literally five so i could be full of it. but it really looks like TradFi redemption flow is the new shadow variable that breaks the old stablecoin signal.

I've been in and out of the crypto market for 8 to 10 years, and it seems to be the case for alt coins is showing less and less promise. I remember when every idea you could imagine, defi, information profit sharing, storage sharing, etc was made into a coin, but it's been quite a while now, and out of thousands and thousands of alt coins, it seems like not a single one has been able to bring any real value to anybody holding it.

Am I wrong? Are there cases that people still hold hope for? How can coins be valuable aside from being a store of value. Is the dream of crypto functionality gone?

The recent streak of outflows from US-based spot Bitcoin ETFs, totaling more than $1 billion over the past trading week, suggests a potential buying opportunity for the world’s largest cryptocurrency, according to crypto sentiment platform Santiment.

“Santiment's analysts read these flows as a counter-indicator, since ETFs disproportionately reflect retail conviction rather than smart money positioning,” Santiment said in a report on Friday.

Santiment said retail investors were losing patience after Bitcoin (BTC) failed to hold above $80,000 in May. Bitcoin is trading at $75,410 at the time of publication, after reaching as high as $79,052 on May 16, according to CoinMarketCap.

BTC hit 82k right after the Clarity Act cleared Senate Banking Committee 15-9 last Thursday. Didn't even last a day, dumped straight back to 78k.

Funding rate on bydfi went positive the second the headline dropped, longs everywhere. Then 82k hit, price started bleeding, flipped negative within hours. People who knew what was coming already took profit while everyone else was still entering.

At this point it's a pattern. ETF approval last year, market topped the day it was confirmed. Coinbase IPO, the opening candle was the high. Major catalyst lands, smart money leaves.

But more is everyone treating this like crypto regulation is a done deal now. This thing passed committee, nothing else. Senate floor vote hasn't happened. House hasn't even started. Look at GENIUS Act, went through the exact same pipeline and came out the other end completely gutted. With all the political drama around Trump family crypto involvement I don't see why Clarity Act would survive intact either.

The "regulation is turning bullish" trade has been running since last year. ETF, stablecoin bills, now this. Market priced in every step before it happened. So what's left to buy when it actually becomes law?

The chair of the US House of Representatives’ Oversight and Government Reform Committee sent letters to the CEOs of Kalshi and Polymarket, questioning the companies’ response to incidents of insider trading on the platform.

In a Friday X post, Committee Chair James Comer confirmed reports that he had sent letters to Polymarket CEO Shayne Coplan and Kalshi CEO Tarek Mansour, asking them for internal records on how the companies were handling insider trading. The Kentucky lawmaker said there were concerns in Congress over elected officials using “basic insider knowledge” to profit off the government’s actions.

This is not a Strike support request. This is questions regarding the support I received and what methods are publicly available for such a decision.

I intended to make a wire purchase of BTC on the order of $5k with my Strike account, so I created a suppport request in their app to get a calculation or estimate of purchase and send fees that I would need to accommodate in my process. In response to that support request, something they would not answer here in the r/strikebtc reddit, they asked for details on a wallet I regularly send to for some time, looked like a KYC thing and I provided what was asked. After providing the target BTC wallet, they determined the wallet is associated with a scam AND have decided to close my account. Rather than just blindly accepting that they must know something I don't, I'd like to know more about how such a determination can be made just based on wallet address and transaction history.

So my first question is how do they determine ownership of a BTC wallet, enough to determine it is scam-related, given the anonymity of crypto wallets? Other than the transaction history which can be viewed in Blockchain Explorer by anyone, what resources are publicly available to make such a determination? Or is this just a calculated guess based on some AI-based pattern recognition?

If it truly is a scam, I'd like to know how to detect for myself in the future. I'm not asking about general scam detection methods. I am asking specifically about scam determination based solely on wallet address and transaction history. If there is no way to really know, closing my account seems more CYA than customer support.

I've used Strike for several years and have always been very pleased with their service and support. This time, the support leading up to this was not what I've come to expect from Strike. My initial questions were never answered, and I guess it doesn't matter now since they closed my account and of course refuse to reveal any specifics on why.

So if I can educate myself on scam wallet detection methods, that would be ideal. If what they have done by closing my account seems more CYA based on questions being asked by a customer than based on factual methods, that is a significantly different issue.

And why there are so many cryptos? Other than btc what are other choices that are legit for long term? And why doge coin still held so much value eventhough it does not really have any values? So far Only bitcoin, zcash and ltc make sense to me since they all have limited cap which is not more than 1b. While xrp and others have crazy limited cap like 100b etc

A lot of people talk about it as “the most expensive pizza ever,” but that only became the dominant story because of what happened to BTC’s price later.

If BTC had remained a small niche internet currency for much longer, would we still celebrate Pizza Day as a major proof-of-use moment - the first famous example of Bitcoin being exchanged for something real, or would it just be a forgotten forum anecdote?

Imagine standing in front of a crowd, holding a handful of ordinary dirt, and trying to sell it for the price of pure gold. If someone actually bought it, how would they defend that choice to their friends? They did something clearly foolish, but people hate admitting they made a mistake, so they look for a philosophy to justify it. A dirt buyer could easily borrow a page from the Bitcoin playbook and use a classic circular argument, claiming that everything only has value because someone agrees it does.

When you criticize Bitcoin, its supporters immediately deploy this linguistic defense. In one way or another, they repeat a mantra where value is agreement and agreement is value. It sounds profound, but it actually says nothing at all. They are just repeating the same empty concept using different words.

The reality is actually worse than the example with the handful of dirt. The buyer would use a circular argument to justify the value, but at least they have a thing to apply the concept of value to. The fundamental problem with the Bitcoin defense is not its circularity, but the total absence of a thing to be circular about. There is literally nothing behind the numbers flashing on the screen.

Because there is no underlying thing, the enthusiasts' next argument is also worse than circular. They pivot to asserting that any currency is simply whatever society agrees is a currency. But you cannot agree on nothingness. Before a society can collectively label something as currency or money, there must first be a concrete thing that the label refers to.

Historically, money was a tangible, physical thing like gold or silver. Today, modern money is a financial claim, an intangible thing whose value is realized when bank debtors provide labour, goods, or services to settle their debts. In both cases, numbers are used to express the amount of a thing that exists in the real world. You cannot claim you have a currency when there is no underlying thing, nothing whose amount you would express with numbers.

In the Bitcoin network, there is no such thing. The entire system is just a software protocol that generates, stores, and displays numbers.

When pushed on this point, the final defense is usually that modern money is also just numbers printed on paper or stored in bank databases. This is yet again the circular logic, a useless statement asserting that numbers are money and money is numbers. You do not even need to understand the complex mechanics of modern banking to see through this. Numbers are purely mathematical abstractions that anyone can create in their own imagination, not concrete things that exist in the real world.

So, an anonymous programmer using the pseudonym Satoshi Nakamoto simply used his imagination, picked the arbitrary number twenty-one million, and built a system to assign and reassign fractions of that number to different addresses. Every such assignment and reassignment is recorded in a database that grows larger every time a new participant gives up a concrete thing to join the game.

Bitcoin supporters believe they have invested in digital gold, but they haven't even gotten digital dirt. They bought literally nothing. They did something foolish, so they are forced to engage in circular logic and philosophy to justify it. That is the strange world of Bitcoin, where the grandest financial revolution in history turns out to be nothing more than an expensive game of mathematical make-believe.

BTC went from 82k to 78k last week, $573M liquidated in 24 hours. On the surface it looks like Clarity Act buy the rumor sell the news, but the more I look at it the more I think the real driver is macro.

10-year treasury yield hit 4.55% last week, 30-year at 5.04%. When you can sit back and collect 4.5% risk-free, why would you put money in something that can drop 20% any day? And the rate cuts everyone was waiting for keep getting pushed back, market's even starting to price in a hike. Rates going up is just straight up bad for crypto.

I checked BTC funding rate on bydfi and it wasn't even that high before this dump, longs weren't crowded. Normally you'd see leverage pile up first before a wipeout, but this time it looked more like spot was selling and contracts got dragged down with it. Not gamblers getting blown up, real money leaving.

That's what makes this so weird. One side got Clarity Act, companies buying BTC, all these reasons to be bullish. On the other side rates are going up and money is pulling out. Short term I think macro wins. The good news takes months to play out, rates going up is happening right now.If the 10-year keeps heading toward 5%, forget new highs, BTC holding 75k would be a win.

What's your strategy right now? Holding or already trimming?

Ive struggled with this concern for months, from moonpay and okx to coinbase.

I've a authentic enterprise right here within the netherlands and we purchase part of our inventory in crypto, which is the one choice from them for now. It's €5-10okay a month.

I couldnt open a enterprise crypto account with kraken so for months now i maintain utilizing my private accounts on Coinbase, Okx, Moonpay, and so on to ship it to my exodus pockets first, and each time i get restricted after a couple occasions.

Is there any answer to this? I want to have the ability to buy 10okay value of crypto and ship it with no problem.

Every time I look into a sophisticated trading strategy the answer is either build it yourself or pay institutional rates. Arbitrage, multi-asset staking, execution speed, all of it. Are there platforms actually trying to close this gap or is retail always going to be second-class in this space? Genuinely wondering if things are improving or just getting more crowded with noise.

I’ve been reading into it today and honestly I think it’s very messy whichever way it goes.

Do nothing and follow the fundamentals —> million of coins with their public addresses (satoshi, other old dormant wallets) get cracked and all hit the market simultaneously. Then safety concerns over the rest of our wallets emerge.

Hard fork which freezes/burns sleeping coins —> would cause massive controversy over bitcoins core principles. Active wallets would also migrate to quantum safe addresses through a block set deadline. The deadline would probably be years and years long to allow everyone to move.

I feel like people don’t talk about this enough considering it’s the biggest hurdle bitcoin will have to move past in its history. Anyone else have similar worries or am I just mad?

Every liquidity mining project I have seen eventually collapses. The APY looks great for a few months and then the token falls and the real yield evaporates. Is this just inherent to how emission-based yield works or is there a structural fix?

I have been reading about fee-based real yield protocols like Seasons on Solana that claim to pay yield from actual transaction fees in wBTC and gold rather than in their own token. Does this actually solve the sustainability problem or is it just a different version of the same underlying issue?

I have been hodling BTC since 2013. Unfortunately, not enough to change my life!

These days, I feel caught between two worlds:

• Sometimes I think Bitcoin has had a good run, but now it is just another investment, with a fairly symmetric risk/reward profile.
• Other times, I think the world is going crazy and Bitcoin is the only way out.

What do you guys think could cause another 10x run? Do you think there is one coming?

I am owed a pretty huge debt, and the debtor's employee wants to pay me back in USDT. I don't do crypto, but in order to get the money returned to me, I opened a Coinbase account today. The debtor's employee said, "You have to deposit $1000 on USDT for activation to get a domain trading account capable of receiving mainnet transfer funds."

Um. What the heck does this mean? I thought I could just set up my account and receive the USDT. Thought this was going to be simple. Not sure this guy knows what he is talking about.

I swapped a total 37,028 of wOCT from my wallet to 2010 USDT swap on chain.
This was the executed transaction tx:

Instead of receiving my funds, I was only sent ~$1,576 USDT. When I checked the on-chain data, it clearly showed that the swap successfully executed for the full $2,010. However, the platform's smart contract deliberately routed $421.80 USDT straight into one of their own wallets:

This is deceiving users, providing them with false information and stealing funds without disclosing.

I contacted support and they replied with:

“ 1:1 exchange rate for an asset pair is not guaranteed when trading on a decentralized market with limited liquidity. If the market for the token pair lacks sufficient liquidity, trading can result in a significant price impact, which leads to a lesser fiat value of the received token.”

When I asked customer support, they tried to brush it off by blaming "low liquidity" and "price impact." This is a blatant lie. The blockchain proves there was no price impact issue, the full amount was generated, and they simply pocketed a massive, undisclosed 20% cut. Providing false information to cover up hidden extractions is theft. Stay away.

the bill literally just creates jurisdictional clarity between SEC and CFTC so we stop having this insane situation where nobody knows if their token is a security until gary gensler decides to sue them five years later. thats it. thats the whole thing. and it took congress until now to figure this out

but now warrens got 100+ amendments queued up and you KNOW half of them are gonna be poison pills designed to either tank the bill or make it so useless that it doesnt matter.

Raw exchange volume feels like the wrong metric to trust by itself

I’ve been looking at exchange rankings lately, and the more I look at them, the less useful raw 24h volume seems on its own.

A venue can show huge reported volume, but that does not tell you much unless it lines up with other things:

Is there real depth on the book?

Are spreads normal?

Does the traffic look believable?

Do the active pairs look natural, or does the activity look mechanical?

Would the book actually hold up if you tried to route size there?

I’m not saying exchange rankings are useless. I’m saying I don’t think volume should be treated as the answer. At best, it’s one signal.

The way I’d sanity-check an exchange is:

Use rankings as a first-pass filter

Check liquidity and depth before trusting the rank

Look at the main pairs, not just total venue volume

Be skeptical of long-tail exchanges with huge volume but thin books

Treat confidence/liquidity-style labels as warnings, not proof

Check the order book before doing anything real

My current view is that raw volume is noisy, but rankings that include liquidity, traffic, confidence, and pair-level quality are still useful as a starting point.

They just don’t replace due diligence.

How do you usually check an exchange before using it? Do you start with aggregator rankings, or do you go straight to the order book?

Tom Emmer, the House majority whip, is also advocating for his Anti-CBDC Surveillance State Act, which has passed the House but has yet to pass the Senate.

A pair of Republican lawmakers is calling for a permanent ban on a US central bank digital currency (CBDC) to be enshrined in the 21st Century ROAD to Housing Act, as the measure is expected to come up for a vote in the US House this week. 

The bill released by the US Senate Committee on Banking, Housing and Urban Affairs in March mainly concerns revisions to federal housing programs but also includes a section banning the Federal Reserve System or any Federal Reserve bank from issuing a CBDC or similar instrument until Dec. 31, 2030.

The US House has created its own amended bill, which Congressman Mike Flood said reverses the “backdoor green light for a CBDC” and aims to make the ban permanent.

Over the past decade or so, one of the strangest phenomena in history has taken place. Masses of people, enormous financial institutions, and even entire countries absolutely and unconditionally believe in one thing: that inside the Bitcoin network they own... something. Even top economists and the fiercest critics play the same game. They all talk about Bitcoin as if it were a currency or some kind of asset.

But if we set aside those complicated economic terms for just a second and look at the network itself, a rather bitter truth awaits us. There is absolutely nothing there that can be owned.

Bitcoin is actually a perfect, ingenious imitation of ownership. It displays numbers to users, and they believe that something exists in their possession proportional to those numbers.

Think about the language people use every day. You constantly hear: "I have bitcoins," "I sent bitcoin," "I lost my coins." That is the language of classical ownership, isn't it? And the human brain falls into the trap. A person to whom the network displays "10 BTC" feels subjectively more powerful and richer than someone with a record "0.001 BTC." That feels natural to them. It is exactly the same psychological and social pattern normally associated with physical things. These people subconsciously think that the difference is the same as fifty grams of gold versus one gram. A bigger number, more mass, more value.

But there is one huge problem: with Bitcoin, the object of ownership is completely missing.

Let's simplify for a moment. When we say in the real world, whether legally or economically, that something is owned, it must always, without exception, fall into one of two categories. It is either a thing or a claim. There is no third option.

The first category consists of things. These are physical objects: a house, a car, a painting on the wall, or some collectible item that can be touched and displayed. Of course, things today can also be digital, such as software you use, a video you watch, or a music file you listen to. All of these are concrete, functional items.

The second category consists of claims. When someone has cash or money in a bank account, they hold a claim against the bank's debtors. Banks create that money through credit, which means that real debtors exist somewhere who must provide their labor, goods, or services to the holders of the money in order to repay that credit. If they fail, banks realize the claim by seizing and selling their property. It is similar with e-money, gift cards, or casino chips; they are claims against the issuer who is obliged to redeem them. Stocks, bonds, patents, and copyrights? All of these are legal claims on future cash flows or exclusive rights to an idea.

And now the question arises: where does Bitcoin fit in?

In Bitcoin there is neither a thing nor a claim. Consider this: users spend enormous amounts of electricity to maintain the computer network, and the protocol assigns them a number. Or they pay someone a large sum of real money to have that number transferred to them. What have they actually received?

They have not received any physical object. They have no unit of mass, no volume. They have not even received a digital thing like functional software that they can run and use.

And most importantly, they have no claim. There is no issuer obliged to buy back their number. There is no company standing behind it that pays them anything. There is no living debtor who has to get up in the morning, go to work, and labor for them to settle the debt owed to the creditor. In this network, there is not even a "token," because a token is a claim against the entity that issued it.

Here we are dealing with numbers that have absolutely no connection to reality. Behind them there is nothing that could be called a currency or an asset. There is nothing that could even be evaluated to determine its value.

And now we come to the most fascinating part. For years these people have been competing, outbidding one another, racing, and throwing billions of dollars... at absolutely nothing. By pushing the price of that "nothing" from zero to astronomical heights, they have created the largest and most expensive collective delusion in human history.

Yet even more fascinating is the accompanying collective psychological defense mechanism. How do these users protect themselves from the realization that their hands are actually completely empty?

They have woven an incredible, endless loop of romanticized stories. All those loud narratives about "decentralization," "digital gold," and "freedom" do not serve only as a marketing tool. They are also a sophisticated psychological shield. It is a shield within which imagination takes over the role of regulator of reality. The greater the gap between their belief and reality, the louder the shared ideology must become. It must become more aggressive, it must take on elements of the sacred. Because admitting to themselves and others that there is nothing behind that digital number... would mean facing the unbearable anxiety of total loss and their own gullibility.

That is why this economic nihilism is collectively disguised as a "financial revolution." That is why this defense mechanism eventually grows into a rigid, intolerant religion. In it, every doubt is automatically punished and ridiculed, while pure, one-hundred-percent illusion is celebrated as the supreme economic truth of the modern age.

As per the title of this reddit thread, there are only two routes to take when entering a post quantum world: Freezing or Seizing. It's also important for us to have these conversations without vitriol, contempt, or memes for someone with an opposing perspective.

Personally, I've been too busy with my 3 jobs and trying to pay the bills to really pay attention to what is going on in this area of the bitcoin sphere. This also, technically isn't really my problem since my bitcoin is in a post-quantum-enabled wallet address. Last I checked, there was a drafted BIP proposal from Jameson Lopp that suggests we lock a group of wallet addresses that encompasses "satoshi era" wallets. This is less than 1% of all bitcoin wallet addresses, citing Jameson Lopp in a speech from a year prior. 1% is not a lot of wallet addresses. Some people estimate that between 3 to 6 million bitcoin were completely forgotten about by early miners from 2009 to 2012 when it was relatively easy to get a block reward of 50 BTC. If we see those stolen and sold it could cause a black swan and we could get cheaper bitcoin, right?

More concretely, however, the hypotheticals below are worth discussing:

1. A company claims to have reached quantum supremacy. Should they or should they not demonstrate they can move satoshi's coins and send them to a quantum-proof burner wallet as an altruistic and harmless demonstration of power?
   
2. A guy threw away his PC in 2010. He mined 10,000 BTC. He still knows the wallet address. Should he or should he not team up with a quantum-supreme company to recover those 10,000 BTC?
   
3. North Korea / Russia / Iran build a quantum PC that can get Satoshi's coins. Should they or should they not steal the coins and use them as they please?
   
4. Silk-road era bitcoin wallets stopped moving btc after the dark net marketplace was shut down. Some of it was sellers who changed their ways. Some of it was addicts (some of which who got clean, others who didnt). They want to recover their BTC, so they team up with some quantum computing enterprises to recover their BTC. Should they be able to?
   

In conclusion, the dichotomy is "Freezing or Seizing" and no in-between. Which should be done and why do you think so?

I'm the author of BIP-361 and your interpretation of the proposal is incorrect.

BIP-361 doesn't lock any specific addresses. It disables all ECDSA operations, which (currently) would freeze 100% of addresses (redeem scripts.)

BIP-361 only makes sense to implement after we have consensus for post quantum signature schemes and have seen mass migration to them.

Tally announced back in March it was stepping out of governance, and the reaction I kept seeing was basically "if even the tooling companies are quitting, onchain voting is finished." I think that read points at the wrong layer.

The vote itself is a contract. Optimism, Uniswap, and ENS governance keeps executing whether or not any one company maintains a frontend for it. A UI shutting down is a UX problem, not a governance failure, nobody said Ethereum died when a block explorer went offline.

What's actually load-bearing is the unglamorous infra around the contract: the relayers that make voting gasless, the indexers, the calldata decoders that show you what a proposal does before you sign. Gasless voting in particular only works as long as someone keeps funding the relayer. That's the dependency that breaks when a vendor leaves, not the governor itself.

So the question after Tally isn't "is governance dead," it's narrower and way more boring: who keeps the relayers paid and the decoders patched once the company stops doing it, and is your stack actually forkable or are you locked in. i haven't seen many DAOs answer that part cleanly. written with s4lai

Curvy Protocol is a privacy infrastructure project that just went on mainnet. If you haven't come across it, here's how it works:

Every user gets an ENS username. When someone sends you a payment, the protocol derives a fresh one-time receiving address using your stealth meta-keys. The sender just types your username. They don't run anything, generate proofs, or know how the privacy layer works. You scan for incoming payments with a viewing key. Spends use ZK proofs so you can move funds out without revealing which stealth address you're spending from.

What this gets you is basically no balance aggregation, no time correlation, it's multichain, so the privacy doesn't break the moment you move across networks.

And the sender experience is identical to a normal transfer. I mean, stealth addresses have been a known primitive for a long time (Vitalik's writeup, Umbra, the EIP work, etc) but adoption stayed low because the sender flow was messed up and you had to do some crazy stuff to do it. This thing is much better, like a normal transaction.

Would love feedback from the community. What DAOs should I add?

The usual cycle is familiar:

BTC leads = ETH catches up = alts follow

But right now, that sequence feels broken.

Instead:

BTC dominance holds or grinds higher

ETH reacts, but doesn’t expand

alt rotations fade quickly

Looking at it through a positioning lens:

BTC continues to attract passive and institutional flows

ETH participation feels more short-term and reactive

attempts at rotation get crowded early and unwind

Which suggests the issue may not be narrative, it may be how capital is positioned

If rotation trades are being anticipated too early:

They become liquidity events instead of trends.

That would explain why:

ETH moves start, then stall, then reverse

So this becomes less about “when ETH runs”

and more about whether the rotation framework itself is being front-run.

At this stage, it’s not clear whether ETH is lagging or whether the market is simply too early on the trade.

What's the best way to swap $300k without KYC? I am trying to swap $300k ETH to Monero/BTC->XMR. I've tried a couple of exchanges like fixedfloat, crowswap, Sideshift with no luck. Iran rolled out something called Hormuz Safe... a state-backed maritime insurance setup for vessels operating in the Persian Gulf and Strait of Hormuz. Payments and settlements can be done with Bitcoin and other crypto.

The platform handles digital certificates and faster processing. It’s clearly designed to work around normal banking channels and SWIFT, especially with the tensions in the region. That strait moves a huge amount of the world’s oil and LNG, so anything affecting shipping there tends to matter.

I’ve been watching oil and shipping-related moves through Bitget futures and CFDs lately, and It’s one of those cases where Bitcoin shows up in actual day-to-day operations...

I used to think P2P was the easiest way to settle crypto in India, but over time I realized the hidden friction was too high. Just curious to see the community’s opinions on this topic. I manage a few exchanges in various jurisdictions and I already work with a dozen lawyer teams, but they are probably biased, depending on which jurisdictions they are used to working with already. What do you guys think that is the best jurisdiction to have a company registered in when it comes to easieness of doing business, crypto laws, but without going into scammers territory. I want to be able to also open bank accounts and to be able to present the company in front of corporate clients without having them lifting an eyebrow. Any advice is much appreciated.

Like the title says, I restored my wallet because the app kept closing for no apparent reason. So, I deleted it, then redownloaded it and used my seed phrase to recover it. However, all of my Solana disappeared. I have my other three tokens, but Solana is gone and shows a zero balance.

Has anyone else had this issue? If so, were you able to restore it? Any advice will be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

I sometimes just use Binance for cross-chain swaps because the rates seem decent and I trust the execution. But I know there is probably a better way.

Is an aggregator like RocketX that uses both CEX and DEX routing genuinely better than going directly to Binance for cross-chain swaps? Or does it depend on the pair?

Also the non-custodial pitch sounds appealing but I want to understand the actual tradeoffs. If RocketX routes through Binance's order book, what is the practical difference from just using Binance directly — other than not needing an account?

not asking which platform you're on. asking what you're actually handing off to AI inside your process.

for me it started with research. i'd dump news, on-chain data, whatever, into Claude and ask it to tell me if anything actually changed or if it's just noise. that alone saved me probably an hour a day of reading things that didn't matter.

then i started using it to check my own bias. write out my thesis for a trade, paste it in, ask it to argue against me. sounds simple but it's caught me a few times when i was just rationalizing an entry i already wanted to take.

now i use it to keep my journal consistent. after a session i describe what happened, what i was thinking, what i should've done differently. it helps me find patterns in my own mistakes that i wouldn't have spotted just reading my notes.

haven't gone full bot yet. for DCA stuff the automation side makes sense and i get it. but for SMC setups i'm not handing execution to anything, i still want to see the sweep happen and confirm before i move.

what's actually working for people here though? DCA, ICT, manual, hybrid, whatever you're running. less curious about the tool and more curious about which part of your process it's actually touching.

Crypto solved a lot of problems around portability, decentralization and transferring value digitally, but I've been thinking in the last few days, "is digital the only future for fiat systems?

Recently I found a couple of physical notes that have a gold finish of small amounts in them. It is really an asset-backed currency that could be utilized in exchange.

Because it made me think that that Decentralize digitally with crypto,Physical asset-backed currency provides an asset with an actual ownership.

Could physical asset-based currencies have any real use again, or does crypto have totally taken the place of this concept?

I’ve been noticing a major problem with many Web3 marketing campaigns lately.

Most projects optimize for:

• impressions
• participation count
• raw engagement

But very few optimize for distribution quality.

And I think this is one of the biggest reasons many campaigns generate “activity” without generating real traction.

A campaign with:

• 1,000 low-quality participants

often performs worse than:

• 20 trusted niche creators with relevant audiences

because relevance compounds.

Not all visibility has equal value.

I think Web3 marketing is slowly shifting from:

​There has been a lot of noise today regarding Jane Street "slashing" their Bitcoin ETF holdings by 71%. Before the panic sets in, it’s important to understand the mechanics of institutional trading and the limitations of 13F disclosures.

​1. What a 13F doesn't tell you:

A 13F is a snapshot of institutional long positions only. It is notoriously incomplete for market makers because it excludes:

​Short positions

​Futures contracts (CME)

​Options and Swaps

​2. The Basis Trade (Arbitrage):

Jane Street is a quantitative giant. They often engage in "Basis Trading"—buying the spot ETF and simultaneously selling BTC futures to capture the premium.

​The Long Leg (ETF): Shows up on the 13F.

​The Short Leg (Futures): Remains invisible.

​3. Why the "Slash"?

When the futures premium compresses, the trade is no longer profitable at that scale. They exit both sides. On paper (13F), it looks like a massive sell-off. In reality, it’s just an arbitrage desk closing a spread trade.

​Conclusion:

Jane Street is not "dumping" Bitcoin based on a directional bias. They are managing a delta-neutral book. Using 13F data to judge the conviction of a market maker is like trying to read a book while only looking at the even-numbered pages.

I’m planning to swap a few BTC into USDT to pay some real estate and I’m trying to do it in a fully decentralized way with good privacy.

I'm not sure if DeFi is actually supports Native BTC but ideally that'd be great, I heard about Wrapped Bitcoin that can do it easily but curious to hear what is actually possible. (Don't suggest things with high fees/slippage please)

I want to warn you about Gate.io (UID: 4274851). They have frozen my withdrawal request and are holding my funds hostage without any explanation.

• They officially promised via email that the review would take 1 to 8 hours.

As recommended somewhere I've swapped through deBridge; 5 figures worth and I'm furious, UX was showing not even 0.1% slippage, I actually had 3%??!! it's not from gas or typo, from a spread buried in the exchange rate that is nowhere near clearly displayed before you confirm the transaction.

On small amounts you'd never catch it. On anything serious it becomes a significant loss. Checked the same route on other platforms after and the difference was embarrassing.

Does anyone else think that there should be a higher bar/gate to publishing coins to the marketplace? I understand testing a coin on your network but I feel that every coin should have at least some real world value or proven value. BTC above 75K for this long is making me think the wait for 50K crowd might end up sidelined this cycle.

Hello, some weeks ago a made a rookie mistake, allow someone access my gmail account and as I have password saved on google account for exchanges, they also had access to them. Yes I had 2 factor authenticator with tokens, not sure how they had access to tokens as my phone was not in danger.

Before I was able to lock the exchanges accounts he was able to stolen around 96M shiba inu from Coinbase.
Follow the movement of the coin, I know they end up on a binance walltet.

O contact both coinbase and binance, none can do anything. According to binance they can only do anything after a authority autorization.

I also open a complain on authority, but according to them, they are still working in cases from 2022. The inspector wants to mean, they will do something probabilly in 5 or more years.

I know they are probabilly gone, but is there anything else I can do?

I provide binance and coinbase all the tracks and informations of the transference between several wallets from the time they leave my account to reach binance wallet.

For context, I’ve been in the crypto space since 2011. Bought my first BTC at $9. Between 2011 and 2016 I spent roughly 2,000 BTC on hotels, gift cards, food (not the pizza guy), and other random things back when the community was heavily focused on pushing adoption through real-world spending and trying to get BTC used as money. I was part of that mindset too. Over time I realized BTC wasn’t going to function as a day-to-day currency in the way many of us originally thought, and shifted to just holding and stacking consistently. I’m a Bitcoin maxi at heart.

I want to be clear upfront: I’m not saying the CLARITY Act and the China trip are directly connected. The timing just feels interesting in the broader macro backdrop.

I also find it very unlikely crypto wasn’t at least a talking point in the recent China meetings with the U.S. administration, even if only indirectly through broader financial system discussions.

What stands out more is the second-order effect. If the CLARITY Act passes and the U.S. establishes clearer regulatory rails for digital assets, the bigger question becomes whether China eventually responds with something structurally similar within its own system, even if more controlled.

People newer to crypto forget how much China historically moved this market. Every mining crackdown or “ban” used to trigger massive volatility, arbitrage, fear, and then explosive reversals when sentiment shifted. That cycle wasn’t theory, it was a core driver of market structure.

So if the U.S. moves first toward clarity, and China later shifts from hostility toward a defined, regulated framework (even partially), the combined effect could be far larger than the market is pricing in today.

Could be wrong, could be overthinking macro timing. But the asymmetry feels worth paying attention to.

TL;DR: Not saying CLARITY Act and China are linked. But if the U.S. creates regulatory clarity and China later follows with a less hostile, more structured stance, the upside impact on crypto could be significantly larger than expected.

Hello, I recently reopened my old Coinbase wallet and it is telling me a meme coin I bout years ago is worth $3.5 million. Anytime I try to swap it for ether or usdc it says liquidity too low. The coin is called doogleinu on ether. Should I just ignore it? It is hard to tell how much my wallet is actually worth because it is saying this meme coin is worth so much. The market cap for the coin is not even 15k from what I saw on dexscan. I’m just not sure what to do about it or how to get rid of it if it is a scam coin.

Has anyone tried withdrawing ZEC from MEXC to a shielded address and succeeded?

It's bad enough that I'm forced to do KYC to withdraw funds, but I was hoping to have some privacy in the withdrawing funds but it seems when i add the shielded address, MEXC doesn't allow me to send it so I'm forced to send it to a transparent address.

Does it matter if I send it to a shielded or transparent address for privacy?

Governments could theoretically pass laws criminalizing Bitcoin ownership — just like Executive Order 6102 in 1933, which forced Americans to surrender their gold. And today, enforcement seems far easier: most major exchanges are KYC-compliant, so governments already have a paper trail of who bought what.

If a "surrender your BTC or face prison" law passed, what realistically stops them from enforcing it?

Is self-custody + non-KYC the only real hedge against this? Or are we already too deep into the regulated system for it to matter?

After learning of this new project I was curious what the market for this type of on-chain lien solution would behave like. With small early adoption from some states and being an early player in the marketplace, LFI is doing well but what do you think the adoption rate could be and is the lien market big enough to drag this token skyward? Some speculators are saying this could be a huge opportunity in a mostly unexplored space and their concept seems sound but I have my doubts as to which, if any, projects could go from .00001234 to the moon anymore.

I recently got into blockchain tracing and got my first client. I successfully traced the stolen funds through multiple swaps until they were deposited into a centralized exchange.

The security team restricted the assets, but they said they can’t refund anything unless the victim contacts law enforcement and files a report.

The issue is the victim doesn’t want to involve law enforcement, so now it seems there’s no way to recover the funds even though the assets were identified.

For people experienced in crypto investigations:

- Is there any other way to recover funds without law enforcement?

- How do you handle clients who refuse to file reports?

- Do you still charge for tracing work if recovery becomes impossible because of that?

Does anyone know when the Xiaomi SEI wallet integration is supposed to rollout? The last news I could find on the matter was back in December, they mentioned Q2 but haven’t heard anything since. With the EVM conversion deadline of June 15th, the Xiaomi integration, and the Upcoming clarity Act (potentially passing) SEI seems like a heavily compressed spring. In 2022 I bought a ledger wallet after throwing some money into BTC in the fall of that year. I've mostly just been having it sit there along with a couple alts but now that it's growing exponentially over time I'm starting to take security much more seriously.

When I set this up I copied the seed phrase down, no pictures or exposure online. However, I didn't bother setting up a passphrase because I didn't think it was necessary. I also deposited like $10 on there, factory reset the wallet and restored it with the seeds to double check I still had access.

I do NOT have the seed phrase easily accessible for say a burglar or something like that. I also don't have all 24 words all in one place, so it would be virtually impossible for someone to get access to my funds.

Anything else that I should consider to bolster my security?

My biggest concern is somehow losing these funds due to user error OR where I get locked out because I lost my seeds.

My brother in law passed away a couple years ago and my mother in law finally got probate court docs. We have a scrap of paper that simply says "Ripple Wallet" with a username and password.

I'm not sure where this login would even be located as I don't see any form of a wallet online. I dabbled in BTC a long time ago and then Coinbase. Apparently, he had assets in Coinbase which the probabe docs are going to take care of (assuming they actually release it... I've been seeing horror stories about them, yay).

My question is, is this decentralized and no way of getting probate involved and is it just a matter of logging in and retrieving the assets? If so, how would we gain access to the wallet?

MEXC changed their policy on unverified users, somewhat unannounced and abruptly, and now require either KYC or the withdrawal appeal process to withdraw funds. As a US user, the KYC path won't work. The withdrawal appeal process is even more heavy handed than the KYC process: requires ID plus a video of self. Has any US user gone thru the withdrawal appeal process recently? How long did it take for them to respond, and WERE YOU ACTUALLY ABLE TO WITHDRAW YOUR FUNDS IN THE END? Any tips would be appreciated.

First off, I live in an apartment that pays for my electricity, so I figure regardless of hash rate, mining proceeds will offset my rent and other Costs Of Living ...

So, I'm relatively new to concept, not a large budget, hash rate isn't a factor. I have a desktop CPU and a laptop. And I'm trying to get into mining BTC. Or another coin if it were to be more profitable. My only understanding is that ETH is POS now and BTC can still be mined, but is mostly only profitable when mined as part of a group pool.

While that is great, it does not really reflect mass adoption.

People who got wealthy have been buying luxurious stuff for decades, it makes sense that those who get rich using Crypto would do the same, the crypto revolution didn't revolutionize human nature. ????

But once people begin to actually use crypto to pay for stuff like groceries, with crypto native Marketplaces offering the same shopping experience as online shopping stores, then crypto adoption would have arrived.

When the person shopping online can buy everything from toothbrushes to groceries for their house, from bicycles to doorbells, for kids stuff to clothes for adults without having to jump through multiple hoops, we will see real adoption.

Crypto is a world currency and it really gives people freedom in a way that centralized and walled-garden financial systems just cannot.

So here's to that future!????

Hello everyone, I’m 49 and I just started exploring crypto for some passive yield. I almost fell for this sketchy crypto platform yesterday and I’m paranoid about everything right now… I received a spam email about some DeFi yield thing promising 20% APY on stable coins, a decent looking website with charts and testimonials, even a whitepaper that sounded legit at first. Domain was like platformname dot finance, registered recently but they claimed partnerships with big names like Kraken and Coinbase tried googling it to find some reviews on medium sites but nothing on coingecko or defillama, which made me pause. Signed up with a burner email and they asked for wallet connect right away to deposit USDT for some bonus, no KYC yet which felt off. Also the twitter had like 5k followers but mostly bots from what i could tell, posts were generic pump stuff.

I backed out and didn’t connect anything but now I’m wondering whether i dodged a rug or am i just paranoid. I’ve seen those bridge exploits like that Kelp thing where everything looked fine until millions gone.

Not sure who is following, but Paul Sztorc is launching a BTC forked shitcoin called Ecash. Never mind that there already is a coin called Ecash (BCH fork from 5y ago). Aaand, Paul is stealing Satoshi's coins and giving them to "early investors". I'm guessing with 99.9999% certainty that this coin will go quickly to zero, as even Paul says he isn't selling his BTC for his new coin.

Bitcoin forks were trendy 10 years ago but now they're mostly instant shitcoins. It seems like Paul thinks he has clout as a cryptographer, but a scam is a scam.

So... I need an exchange that will support this fork and allow the coin to be traded as soon as it lists. Dump for BTC or BCH and move on.

I held a long-term DEGEN/USDT futures position on Weex. I wasn't actively trading. This was a long-term hold and I checked the account infrequently. On April 27, 2026 at 3:19 AM, Weex's system closed my position without any action on my part. My order history explicitly labels it as a 'System order.'

Here's what makes this egregious:

1. Their own announcement contradicts what happened. The delisting announcement states 'your account assets will not be affected.' My account lost $4,273.6965. They later reinterpreted this statement after the fact to protect themselves.

2. No notification of any kind received. Weex claims push notifications are their standard channel. I received none. More importantly, they had my email address and used it throughout my dispute. They never sent a single email warning about a delisting that would forcibly close my position. For a long-term holder who doesn't log in daily, email is the only reliable alert channel. They chose not to use it.

3. They closed my position 10 hours ahead of their own stated schedule. Position opening suspension was announced for 1:00 PM UTC+8. My position was closed at 3:00 AM UTC+8 — 10 hours earlier with no explanation.

4. They denied compensation after weeks of correspondence. Every explanation they gave contradicted their own records, their own announcement language, and their own agents' prior statements.

5. They ignored a formal final demand entirely. I issued a final demand with a 5-day response window. Weex did not respond. At all.

This is not just about $4,273. This is about an unregulated exchange that operates behind a polished facade while taking zero accountability for the impact of their system decisions on real people's funds. This is not the first time Weex has caused user losses through platform issues and refused ownership.

i know this is going to annoy some people, but most crypto cards still do not feel like real crypto adoption to me.

they feel like off ramps with better branding.

you hold crypto, then somewhere in the middle it still becomes fiat, touches a card network, and gets spent through the same old rails. maybe the app looks more modern. maybe the rewards are different. maybe the card has a nicer name.

but from the user side, a lot of it still feels like a debit card with extra steps.

sell this, top up that, check which country is supported, hope the merchant accepts the card, hope the card does not get declined because it looks prepaid, then later figure out what fees or spread you actually paid.

i am not saying these cards are useless. honestly, some of them are very useful.

if you get paid in stables, travel a lot, or keep money across different wallets and exchanges, having a card layer can be way less annoying than doing the full exchange to bank to card dance every time.

but i think we oversell what this is.

a crypto card that lets me buy coffee is not automatically mainstream adoption. it might just be a cleaner way to exit into regular payment rails.

and maybe that is fine.

maybe the real value is not ideological at all.

maybe the whole point is just reducing the number of stupid steps between on chain money and boring bills.

i have been comparing a few options lately. coinbase card, crypto.com, nexo, redotpay, buvei, plus the normal bank and wise route. every single one has some annoying tradeoff.

exchange cards are convenient, but you are tied to that exchange.

bank withdrawals feel safer, but they are slow.

virtual card setups are flexible, but merchant acceptance can get weird.regular credit cards are still easiest, but they do not solve anything if the money starts on chain.

I earned large amount of USDT in a country where crypto is illegal. All of this was earned and I went through full KYC on Binance. I have complete transaction history.

Until and unless I trade crypto in this country I don’t think I will be in any problem. So I want to convert this crypto into cash and deposit into my bank account.

- Has anyone successfully converted crypto and received funds via SWIFT remittance by going in another country where it’s legal? What did you tell your bank?

Changelly's currency exchange is a scam. They're willing to offer lower exchange rates for small amounts. But when you increase your amount, they freeze your funds and use KYC (Know Your Customer) as an excuse to keep asking you to submit information repeatedly.

Changelly is always hiding the most crucial part of the refund process. Their KYC requirements exceed legal standards. All assessment criteria are determined by themselves. No one can complete and immediately refund your money.

Hi! I know uneducated people like myself probably stop in here and ask all the time, whats a good starting point for buying crypto? I know ill never get into something good like bitcoin, but I would like to buy a few coins, and just let them sit for a couple of years, like a low interest CD. My Coinbase wallet stopped communicating with any Apps (including Coinbase) about 3 weeks ago. All I have gotten from Coinbase is empty promises about ‘escalating this to our Engineering team’. I can see my assets, and access the wallet, but smart contracts cannot settle and assets cannot be transferred to other wallets or DEXs. My investments have stalled and I am now making losses because I can’t move assets. Is this a theme with Coinbase wallets? Is complaining to the ombudsman my only solution?

I am a tax resident of Thailand, staying in the country for more than 183 days per year.

I understand that Thailand follows a remittance-based taxation system. My question is: if I transfer Bitcoin or Ethereum from a foreign exchange (such as Bybit) to a Thai exchange (such as Binance TH), will this transfer be subject to Thai income tax?

I would like to clarify if the act of moving crypto between wallets is considered "taxable remittance" even before it is sold for Thai Baht.

My understanding is as follows: Since transferring cryptocurrency is merely a "movement of assets," simply sending Bitcoin from one wallet to another should not trigger any tax liability.

However, I have another concern. Where did the funds used to purchase that cryptocurrency come from in the first place?

Was it from taxable income, or from funds that have already been taxed? If the Thai Revenue Department questions the source of these funds, how am I supposed to prove it? Does anyone even have the means to provide such proof? How are others handling this situation?

Why the CLARITY Act Quietly Makes Ethereum the Biggest Winner in Crypto

EDIT: Cardano, Avalanche, and Algorand were left off the chart. They have decent decentralization cases, but legal classification is only one filter. ETH DeFi TVL is in the hundreds of billions and ETH is highly liquid and accessible via ETFs and orther derivatives like treasuries. The others sit at $1-2B or below, lower liquidity, and no ETFs or treasuries. Also, developer activity and institutional adoption track the same gap. The legal test matters, but it doesn't matter alone. Look at how Ethereum DeFi and institutional metrics have grown over the past couple of years and compare that to each of those networks.

Coin in question is 2 weeks old and beside the first 2 days it im goes up like once a day then levels of with super small jumps up and down then jumps again a day later making the chart look exactly like staircase trending up. New version of the clarity act has been released today... people don’t realize how disruptive yield-bearing stablecoins could have been for traditional banks.

Blockchain basically made it techniclaly possible for regular users to hold digital dollars that are:

• fully liquid
• transferable 24/7
• globally accessible
• and backed by short-term US Treasuries generating ca4–5% yield

In practice, this could’ve turned stablecoins into something like a global high-yield checking account.

For the first time, average people couldve directly benefited from Treasury yields instead of banks capturing most of the upside to fund their skyscrapers and bonusses.

And thats exactly why regulators and banks pushed back so hard.

The compromise basically says:
“You can use stablecoins for payments...but they shouldnt compete with bank deposits.”

Everyone keeps brushing off the idea of Strategy (formerly MicroStrategy) ever selling Bitcoin, but Saylor’s recent comments during the Q1 2026 earnings call highlighted a structural nuance that’s worth discussing.

The big story isn’t the $12.54B unrealized loss — unrealized losses don’t force liquidation. What stood out was Saylor openly acknowledging that selling BTC is at least possible now because of the structure behind their STRC preferred shares and the roughly $1.5B/year dividend obligations tied to them.

How the flywheel currently works:

As long as investors keep absorbing new STRC, the cycle continues. But if demand for STRC slows down, the dividend obligations don’t disappear. The company would then face large recurring cash outflows without fresh capital to offset them.

This changes the conversation around their 818k+ BTC holdings. For years the assumption was those coins were basically untouchable. Now there’s at least a theoretical scenario where they aren’t.

I still don’t think a major sale is likely anytime soon (Saylor has repeatedly said they won’t be net sellers), but the fact that it’s no longer treated as completely impossible feels important.

I will not drop ANY coin names, but back in November I was told by a friend to buy a shitcoin tied to this creator because he was up so much. I bought it but my dumbass held it like a stock because that's all I'm familiar with. After I lost about $100 on that coin, I pulled out and stopped doing crypto.

Fast forward to now, I still have the apps Phantom and Moonshot on my phone and keep getting notifications about certain coins shooting 4x-10x in within a day/week. My stock portfolio is doing INCREDIBLY well so I'm looking to take risks. If I'm being COMPLETELY honest, this is FOMO for me. I see high returns and really want to get back into it, but I've heard there's a catch once you sell it? Some kind of crypto charge, I'm still not fully educated on the topic.

But my true question: do people actually make money off of shitcoins? And should I try my luck?

Been pretty deep into crypto/markets for a while now and honestly one thing I feel is missing these days is actual community.

Most spaces now feel either:
- engagement farming
- nonstop shilling
- influencer culture
- or just people screaming price predictions at each other all day ????

I miss when internet communities actually felt social and people got to know each other properly over time.

Been trading since 2017, went full time in 2021. And before anyone asks, no, I didn't quit my job on a whim with 10k in savings. Built a cushion first that meant a red month wouldn't make me panic-sell at the bottom. Writing this because I'm tired of the "woke up, made 5 figures, beach by noon" content.

6:40 AM. Alarm.

Not because I'm disciplined. Because Asia session is closing and that's where liquidity gets parked before EU open drags it somewhere. Coffee, phone, check if I got stopped overnight. Today I didn't. Plenty of times I did.

7:00-9:00. Position check. Currently long ETH average 3420, smaller short SOL hedge, couple alt bags I've been sitting on for weeks. Funding on Bybit, OI on majors, liq heatmaps, update levels in TV. That's it. No secret indicator.

9:00-11:00. The window where I actually do work. London open brings real flow and if I have a planned setup, I take it. If I don't, I don't trade. Took me four years to learn that. Sitting on your hands while the screen flashes green and red feels physically wrong, like your body is telling you to do something, anything, just to participate.

11:00-15:00. Dead zone.

Between London lunch and NY open the tape goes mostly nowhere except for the occasional liquidity hunt that punishes anyone who got bored and clicked. I nap sometimes. Actually nap. Read macro stuff if Powell or someone is making noise. Or just stare at the wall.

When I need to switch the brain off without leaving the desk I'll play chess on lichess or mess around on dustbіt for a bit. Not rest exactly, more like cycling the engine so the candles look fresh again when I come back.

15:30. NY open. If there's CPI, FOMC, NFP dropping, I'm in cash or running half size. I've donated enough to the casino trying to guess direction on news prints.

18:00-22:00. Most of my closed trades this year happened in this window. I shut the laptop when I've either taken the plan or it's obvious there isn't one tonight.

What the highlight reels skip:

Isolation. I haven't spoken to a real human in person today. Wasn't different yesterday. Wife is at the office, friends are on a 9-to-5 schedule, our timezones don't really overlap during the week. Discord isn't social life, it's just noise with avatars.

Financial anxiety doesn't go away when you're up. Up 18% on the month? Now you're terrified to give it back. Down 7%? You're convinced this is the start of the streak that ends you.

Nobody builds your day for you. Nobody says good job. Nobody fires you. You can quietly degrade for six months and only notice when you finally look at PnL and realize you've been bleeding.

Health stuff nobody warns you about. Back, eyes, sleep. I started the gym not for aesthetics but because otherwise I'd be a wreck by 40.

Paga, a Nigerian fintech pioneer, has partnered with the Sui blockchain, marking the company's most significant push into cryptocurrency infrastructure to date. The partnership was unveiled on May 7 at Sui Live in Miami, just weeks after founder Tayo Oviosu transitioned to the role of Group CEO in April.

The agreement reportedly positions Paga to expand beyond traditional mobile money and payments into stablecoin products , tokenized assets, and blockchain-based cross-border transfers. Oviosu said the partnership aims to build financial rails that help Africans hedge against currency volatility, access global markets, and participate in new forms of digital finance. “These are the walls of the cage, and until we break them down, financial freedom on this continent will be incomplete,” Oviosu told attendees. “We have found that partner: Paga and Sui.” According to both companies, the integration will focus on high-yield USD accounts backed by USDsui, Sui's recently launched dollar stablecoin. It will also focus on on-ramps and off-ramps for cryptocurrencies in the markets where Paga operates, as well as real-world tokenized assets, including real estate, bonds, and solar projects.

Oviosu said the roadmap could allow Paga users to hold interest-bearing dollar balances, convert between local currency and cryptocurrencies with minimal friction, invest in previously inaccessible assets, and send money across borders “as easily and at minimal cost as an email.”

Paga's move marks the continuation of a shift among African fintechs toward exploring blockchain for global settlement, treasury, and payments. In October 2025, Flutterwave partnered with Polygon to build a stablecoin-based payment infrastructure, while another Nigerian payments giant, Paystack, reorganized into The Stack Group to further research emerging technologies.

It becomes the second digital currency in the Sui ecosystem, following the launch of the native SUI token in 2023. The stablecoin will be issued by Bridge, the US crypto infrastructure company acquired by Stripe for $1.1 billion in 2025.

It's official: The so-called Monero "DEX" (which was in reality very centralized), has officially rugged its users. XMR1 swap routes have been down for more than a week and the founder who went by "Perpetual Cow" has completely vanished.

I used an app called KAST for Bitcoin. During setup, they connected me to a bank account through Lead Bank. I transferred money from my Chase account into that Lead Bank account, and Chase shows the transfer was completed.

Right after the money was sent, KAST banned my account. Now I can’t access the app or the funds.

KAST’s own policy says they are responsible for refunding any unused money, but when I contacted them, they claimed they never received the money. Chase told me there isn’t much they can do because the receiving account already accepted the transfer.

The confusing part is that I don’t know if the Lead Bank account is legally mine, since it was opened through KAST, or if KAST controls it behind the scenes.

Has anyone dealt with KAST, Lead Bank, or a fintech app doing this? What should I do next?

Apparently this coin is the only one of the bunch that is crushing in this bear market. Disclaimer: I don't hate ZEC or anything like that. I'm not shilling it either as I don't hate Zcash. I'm genuinely wondering how and why the heck ZEC is printing green candles even though XMR has much more use case than Zcash, a stronger privacy model, larger anonymity set, and longer track record. It has been four years since Luna fell from what was essentially an all time high of $119 to basically $0. Were you or others you know personally impacted by this. If so, what was going through your head when you seen the crash occurring in real time. Did you sell in time or did you hold your crypto, believing it could go back up?

Also, did you notice first signs of failure before it made headlines, if so, what were the first signs that were clear to you that Luna was going to fail?

Personally, what was the biggest kick in the nuts was the fact that a new coin was created (Terra 2.0) tricking people into believing that they could recover their lost funds by buying this coin and pumping it.

I see a lot of frustration around surprise KYC on crypto casinos. This is the case when a site is marketed as “no KYC” and then asks for ID right when you try to withdraw. After running into this a few times, I went back and started checking how it works.

The short version: “no KYC” just means not upfront; not never.
Why “no KYC” can be misleading
Most crypto casinos (especially Curaçao-licensed ones) include a clause in their terms that says they can request verification at any time. So even if the homepage says “no KYC,” the terms often say otherwise.

Common KYC triggers (from what I’ve seen)

These seem to come up the most:
Larger withdrawals (often somewhere in the $2k–$10k)
Unusual betting patterns
Bonus-related flags
First withdrawal on a new account
Using different wallet addresses for deposit/withdrawal
What they often ask for

When it happens, it’s fairly standard:
Government-issued ID
Proof of address (utility bill, etc.)
Sometimes a selfie holding the ID
For larger amounts, occasionally source of funds
How long it takes
This is where delays come in. Once KYC is triggered, withdrawals pause until it’s completed. From experience, this can take anywhere from 6–72 hours, sometimes longer depending on the KYC team.

Jurisdiction matters more than people think
Some countries seem to trigger stricter checks. If your region is listed as restricted or higher-risk in their terms, KYC can happen regardless of withdrawal size.
If you’re trying to avoid surprises

A few things that seem to reduce the chances:
Keeping withdrawals smaller
Not jumping between bonuses
Using the same wallet
Checking the terms before playing (especially the KYC section)

For me, it’s not about being pro or anti-KYC, but not being caught off guard by it.

If a site is honest about when verification might happen, it’s easier to plan around.

I’ve noticed some platforms explain this more than others, but in most cases, the details are still in the terms; you just have to look for them.
