Running Full node advice

Hi all, I've been researching running my own full node at home. Obviously Raspberry Pi4 seems to be the most popular hardware but where I am the prices are up around $300 AUD for just the pi and charger. I can get SFF PCs like a HP elitedesk 700 G1 with 8GB RAM I5 4590 Monitor and all accessories for under $100 AUD. Adding a 2tb SSD for another $130.

My question is will I regret not getting a pi for the low power consumption? The G1 is running a 280watt or slightly lower power supply, and my understanding is the 4th gen CPUs have decent power throttling capability. Noise, heat, and space are not an issue for me, just worried I might be using alot more power than necessary.

Any advice welcome, thank you.
