The project was called SwipaTheFox and promised to create a metaverse for fans and to make a scholarship fund for some lucky fans to attend Kentucky University where he played college basketball. The discord had over 100k members.
Two months after the launch Fox went on Twitterto basically announce that he didn’t have enough time to dedicate to the project and was effectively pulling the plug. He didn’t allow any replies to his tweets and shut down the discord channel.
And if getting rug pulled by their favorite basketball player wasn’t humiliating enough, Fox had the audacity to send people who bought a certain number of NFTs a signed jersey. He even left the door open to “doing this again the right way” after the season is over, which will definitely be in mid-April because the Kings suck and never make the playoffs.
Please don’t give your hard earned money to these idiot celebrities and athletes who are either too dumb to know what they’re creating or are actively looking to scam their fans.
