I remember reading the Bitcoin Standard and being a bit surprised that Saifedean didn't think that a larger blockchain industry would develop out of bitcoin. I think he cited the high cost of blockchain technology relative to centralized alternatives as the main reason.
Fast forward to today, it seems like it's clear a larger blockchain industry will develop, with serious implications for cryptographic truth in other areas like elections, property rights, education, media, etc
Since the book was published in 2018, does anyone know if Saifedean has discussed his opinion again recently?
