Saving in Bitcoin

Bitcoin is the ultimate savings technology. Many will scoff because of the volatility or say it's a ponzi scheme or a bubble but that is because they haven't studied it long enough (or at all).

Imagine you find out about a magical new money that is a thousand times better than what you're currently using today. Everyone in the world needs it, nobody can stop it, AND everyone disagrees with this statement ^.

If you're saving 10% of your paycheck for retirement or any other long-term goal (+20 or 30 years) you're doing yourself a disservice by not saving in bitcoin. A 1% allocation could bring double digit +% changes to your end goal. Not to mention the monetary debasement that has been increasing since the 08-09 financial crisis and even more so since the pandemic. How much does the SP500 outperform M2 (supply of money) because that's your hurdle rate!

Right now you have the advantage of working and buying bitcoin while everyone else disagrees with you and doesn't understand it because they're intellectually lazy or they're a different generation (or both).

While history is no indication of the future, everyone around me expressed worry and fear when I said I was being paid in bitcoin. However, I'm so glad I didn't listen to them.

TL;DR; had you saved 1$ a day in bitcoin since January 1st 2019 you would have saved a total of $1,879 dollars worth $8,076.15 as of February 29th closing price (330% growth).

All money saved in bitcoin:
2019 grew 878%,
2020 grew 516%,
2021 (Peak bull prices) grew 35%,
2022 grew 147%,
2023 grew 121%, and
2024 (YTD) has grown 34%.
Total of 5 years of saving so far equals 330%.

I cannot afford to lose my money, therefore I save in bitcoin.
