just finished setting up cold storage, tested sending/receiving funds, and finally offloaded my bitcoin off of the centralized exchanges. im so pumped i really own bitcoin and became my own banker.
a hardware wallet isnt really a wallet, but more like a key. the passphrase is like the ridges on the key that opens the lock. behind the door is the cyberspace where bitcoin is stored. thats how im thinking of my coldcard, the bitcoin isnt actually on it.
my final steps are to secure my phrase and accumulate more bitcoin. thank you r/Bitcoin for making me understand why bitcoin is the one and only cryptocurrency asset and teaching me what i know. have a nice day everyone
