Somebody I know is breaching the surface of Bitcoin, but they don’t quite understand the depth of decentralization.

I am calling upon the powers of the the Bitcoin Reddit community to help me expose the magnitude of decentralized currency to a fellow laymen.

I am not very smart or verbose, but I have been following Bitcoin haphazardly for years, and I believe in the original vision. Somebody I know has recently started “investing” and I was trying to advise them to have private keys. Unfortunately, my lack of knowledgable expression left them as skeptical as they were before, or more. I am wondering if anybody has some good links for resources that might explain Bitcoin better than I can.
