Supply Shock has started for Reddit Coins

As you might have heard, Reddit is deprecating Reddit Coins along with awards. The official announcement says:

"Starting today, you’ll no longer be able to purchase coins, but you can use your remaining coins to gift awards by September 12."

Go on and try buying Reddit Coins. You can't! The only other place to buy them is... That's the thing, there is no other place to buy Reddit Coins! Only OTC deals with other Redditors.

We've all heard about how scarce Bitcoin is – only 1.5M remains to be mined, and you can buy it literally everywhere. We've all heard how Ethereum has become deflationary (occasionally). We've all read how the "supply shock" inevitably triggers a massive bull run, that's always around the corner. And how crypto is "ultra sound money" because it can't be printed out of thin air.

Well, looks like Reddit Coins are experiencing a real supply shock and have suddenly become ultra-ultra sound money.

Until Sept, 12 of course, because on Sept 12 they'll cease to exist altogether.

Until then, enjoy holding your ultra scarce limited "coins" that no one can or will be able to buy ever.
