Hey all. I was doing some UTXO management in Sparrow the other day, and I had a look at the block explorer after I was done and I noticed that I could have saved even more money in fees (approx 10% cheaper) if I had been using a Taproot address (bech32m) - currently my wallet is using native segwit (bech32).
Is there a general consensus yet on switching to Taproot addresses? Are they widely supported yet? I know that with Segwit it took quite a few years for those address types to be widely supported, and I don't want to switch to a Taproot style address "too soon" if that makes sense.
Anything I should know about switching to a Taproot address?
I'm considering buying a replacement HW wallet (to replace a Nano S because Ledger == Suck), and was considering setting it up in Sparrow as a native Taproot address type, but just wasn't 100% sure of the implications of this. Anything to worry about?
Edit - I did just check and Kraken supports withdrawal to bech32m, so that would be the biggest scary thing as they are my exchange of choice.
