Hello! I am a strong believer that web 3 will require interoperability and wanted to host a friendly discussion. I have noticed some projects that have aimed to solve it and would like you to vote on which one you are the most confident in! Here is a brief explanation on how these projects aim to solve it.
-Polkadot is a layer 0 that primarily relies on the relay chain to keep the ecosystem secure. DOT is essential to the ecosystem and acts as the mediator for all the projects. If you build on Polkadot you inherit it's interoperability, security, and crowd loans for new projects.
-Cosmos is a layer 0 that is more open source and allows anyone to build with the Cosmos SDK and communicate with other blockchains using IBC(Inter Blockchain Communication). It has recently introduced interchain security that allows ATOM validators to secure ecosystems with the AEZ (Atom Economic Zone).
-Chainlink is a new one I've heard of that recently implemented CCIP for interoperability. While it is not a layer 0 it does aim to solve blockchain communication. This is a new protocol and here is the explanations from the official site: "CCIP enables users to programmatically transfer tokens from one blockchain to another via lock-and-mint or burn-and-mint mechanisms, along with attaching arbitrary data commands".
