This sub has its issues, but there is one thing we do better than most

I love this sub, but let’s face it, as a community, there are many things we could be better at. But there is one thing we do better than anywhere else.

After spending 30 minutes on Twitter today, I was left nauseated by the crypto community who cannot help but shove their political views (mostly American political views) down your throat. Whether it’s Trump being arrested, Biden presiding over zombie cities, or anti-wokeness, CT cannot leave their political beliefs out of the narrative. They need you to hear that they believe in one thing over the other.

I am in a Telegram group for crypto and it’s the same BS there - some guy keeps posting media about how the vaccines are a scam.

Believe what you want - I really don’t care. I have my views, you have yours. But I haven’t joined the crypto space to hear your views on politics; I’ve joined to talk and learn about crypto.

Politics is in every space of our life, and the media make it a priority to keep society divided along these lines. Crypto should be a safe place from this.

This sub is exceptionally good at keeping conversation on point about crypto. Very rarely do I see posts about politics, other than fuck the government institutions generally, which I’m totally fine with.

Today I realised this is one of the best features of this community, and I really appreciate that.
