Thoughts on the dangers of a dystopian oligarchy

Hi all,

i am relatively new to BTC. I believe to adequatly understand the concept, apart from the infrastractural technical aspects, which are too complicated for me to understand. I am treating it mainly as a speculative asset in the time beiing, although i have put aside a part of my BTC for a long time hold.

Imho we are living in the early stages of a post-capitalistic dystopian oligarchy (again, personal opinion) and i would really like to see that change for the better. Obviously the banking system plays a central role in this demise and i can see BTC as a solution there.

On the other hand i have increasing worries: If BTC becomes the main monetary system, what deters the rise of an even more cruel oligarchy, where whales and large institutional holders have amassed massive wealth and what does that mean for democracy? I obv. know that democracy is not in its peak worldwide, but could not this scenario be even worse?

I would love to hear thoughts on that, it is more of a thought than a formed opinion.

Cheers
