It's not surprising that BTC and the crypto markets are in the dump lately - its following its normal cycle and people are wary of risky investment right now.
But the current situation is exactly what BTC was originally designed for. It gives people financial options outside of the standard government run currencies, and defi is supposed to be the next step in this new frontier.
Unfortunately, it seems like that is not at all the way things are going. It's just another tech stock. People are NOT running to BTC / Crypto to avoid high inflation of fiat.
