After a long time of being locked out of my account I decided I had no choice but to complete KYC. It goes agains every single one of my values. Crypto was born free, anonymous, permission-less, trustless. There was never a KYC requirement when I signed on to Binance.
Even when disgusted with the situation, I went ahead and decided to do KYC just in order to withdraw all of my account and never to involve myself with Binance again. As bad as the process of KYC is I started it to find that it goes with facial recognition. This is an assault upon my rights, insulting, intrusive and intimidating. I anyway went ahead and did tried to do it, even though to begin with I dont trust anyone who wants my info and even less when it is a company like Binance that is even unclear on where is it headquartered. There is no good reason that can be in the interest of users for Binance to have their facial identity. It is outrageous.
