Edit: I already got the help i needed from a flamingo and a camel (TY both)! I will leave the post for other people to read.
I have a DCA strategy and automatically the BTC are transferred to cold storage. I am learning about UTXO and lately I am getting more and more worried about UTXO management. Online I watched a lot of video's but I did not find what I was looking for so I hope people don't mind me asking it here.
My plan: continue DCA for the next two years and at the end I will send it all to an exchange and sell it all. Sorry for the HODLers, HODL is not my plan.
The Exchange where I automatically buy, only supports 1 BTC-address. In two years I will sell (probably through a different exchange). Both exchanges only support 1 BTC-address so the privacy issue is not that concerning to me (please correct me if i'm wrong).
I will spend nothing so the UTXO's are stacking up (currently 50 transactions/UTXO's). My question is about consolidation these UTXO's and preparing myself for the future.
Online I have read that sending a small amount (say $5) to your own wallet will consolidate all the UTXO's into 1 UTXO. If this is correct, I can simply do this before sending it to the Exchange to sell. But somehow this just seems to simple...
Can anybody help me out with my UTXO consolidation question. The question is about not paying to much fees in the future.
