This is about my experience with taking all my Roth IRA investments from Vanguard to Fidelity and buying Bitcoins ETF.
I bought and maxed out 2 Roth IRAs in 2015 and 2016 with Vanguard.
Monday( 15th) afternoon I opened a Fidelity account took about 2 minutes.
That same afternoon I filed for a funds transfer via Fidelity’s user friendly app. All I had to give them was my 8 digit Vanguard Roth IRA account number. This took 3 or 4 minutes.
Friday(today 19th). I saw all my funds in my Fidelity app.
I sold all my stocks and ETFs that I didn’t like and bought 5 figures of FBTC. In about 6 minutes.
That’s it. I never had to let Vanguard know, I never had to call anyone. Just did everything super quick on the Fidelity app on my phone.
