Hi all! I’m from Europe and visiting some friends in the US currently. I am verified on binance but have been using a vpn to trade while I’m here just to be safe. However, I also have a crypto trading bot on my laptop that I usually run during periods of high volatility and which connects to binance futures through an API.
My question is if I need to make sure my laptop is connected to a VPN before I turn on the bot and let it take trades in binance through the API. Could binance somehow see that this trade and connection through the API is coming from the US if I turn the bot on without a VPN on my laptop?
I’m inclined to think that they couldn’t tell since the bot isn’t actually logging into my account it’s just taking trades though an API but I want to be sure. The last thing I want is to get my account flagged.
