Was he trying to scam me?

So I’m new to bitcoin… really only use it to pay for a service. I asked a question in two diff subs, so not sure which one this guy saw me on…. But this was the email exchange. My question is… was he trying to scam me lol

I did NOT go to the link he was sending me to. By the time he sent me that link, I had already installed phantom wallet, added the wallet in question and started the transfer to my main wallet.

I may be new to crypto…. But wasn’t born yesterday lol my spidey senses are telling me if I’d gone to his link, it would have asked for my wallet info and pass code I would have been wiped clean before I got back to the chat to say I’d done it. Once I suspected he was a scammer, then I started to play dumb to see what he would say lol

So? Did I avoid a scam, or was this guy legit trying to help me? lol
