Web3D (Decentralized) vs Web3C (Centralized)

ETH people since our core is based on decentralization.

With all the talk recently about Web3, can anyone layout the pros/cons or bullet points on the opinions of Web3 decentralized versus centralized? (Early on there was this excellent paper from ethereum: https://ethereum.org/en/developers/docs/web2-vs-web3/ )

Our Past:

Web1.0 - (AOL) Content was shown to you, like it was a "Time" magazine

Web2.0 - Google, FaceBook/Meta, Big Tech own the Internet

Web3.0 - Decentralized, the people own it? (Need a lot of help here actually)

Web3^C(Centralized) People: (Dorsey, Musk)

• Web3 is packaged as 'decentralized' but is centralized and owned by the Venture Capitalists. i.e. - where Dorsey and Musk got their seed money to startup etc.

I have no references here just opinions (need help here)

Web3^D(Decentralized) People: (Andreessen, Brooks, Buterin, Bankman-Fried)

• Web3 will be decentralized. Powered over various blockchains like Ethereum*

*- Bankman-Fried (For the record he is SOL over ETH)
