What do people exactly mean by Binance being "shady' and not safe

Okey I get the horror stories, money stolen, stop loss not activating, hacked etc etc.. and don't get me wrong they are terrible and I would not wish for anyone to experience BUT having looked over a lot of similar exchanges (kraken, coinbase etc.) they all seem to honestly deal with similar problems at least in terms of anecdotal evidence. Is there really any hard data to say "Yea finance is objectively worse and you should not use it ?"

As a clarification one might say that Binanance seems to be in center of those stories more often but since they are as of now biggest exchange in the world it's statically more propable that stuff like mentioned can happen especially if a lot of it can be actually accredited to user doing something wrong -> not knowing it-> blaming on finance.

To be honest I'm just looking for my first exchange and debating kraken vs binance thus the post.
