Instead of launching on one chain, dApps could start launching on multiple chains/rollups, thoughts?

This thread touches on some valid points, where they point out that if your business has found PMF, then it is logical to launch on other chains, like for example, Circle issuing USDC on multiple chains. Having a app specific chain/rollup makes sense in this scenario, you can retain governance on one platform and maybe provide the core service, while also offering it on other places.

CCTP is the communication standard for USDC, and Cosmos uses IBC for interoperability, do you think the industry will converge into one standard sooner or later?
