Without a doubt, everyone has their own reasons for investing in cryptocurrencies and they may not necessarily be the same for all people. Most of those I have read do it for the money but there are also people who strongly believe in the technology behind it and do not have economic gain as their primary goal.
Personally, I don't find anything wrong with saying that you invest in cryptocurrencies only for economic gain, there is no shame for that. I prefer these people to those who pretend to be interested in the project when they don't even know what a whitepaper looks like and have never looked deeply into the project.
Returning to the question of the title, what is the aspect that made you choose crypto as an investment? Volatility, decentralization, the existence of the blockchain that tracks transactions, etc?
