Each bull cycle has come with a different flavour and new developments.
The early days tended to be all about BTC forks and transaction speed. Then we got actual exchanges and just the ability to buy crypto with a debit or credit card (which made it way easier for people to get into). Things like nano were popular because of how fast and cheap the transactions were. eth fees weren't yet terrible.
Lots of the chatter was people trying to make new coins that could fix certain layer one issues.
There was also an element of β for a coin to be good, it has to have a purposeβ so things like filecoin and BAT etc were also quite hyped.
As crypto started making headlines, ICOs became huge and were basically all pump and dumps.
Then we crashed and in next cycles we got stable coins, block wars, DEXs, DiFi and CiFi, staking, yield farming and all sorts.
Now weβre back in a bear after multiple meltdowns in the space, but with the havening around the corner and Blackrock knocking at the door, what kind of new tech or innovations might we see?
What curious new use cases could be on the horizon?
