What were your first thoughts when you joined this sub?

All Cryptocurrencies

Things are tanking right now. Let’s try and distract ourselves from the pain while mining fiat to DCA.

When you first joined r/cryptocurrency, what were your initial thoughts?

At first I thought “Wow this place is amazing, there’s so much knowledge here to learn from” I loved the in depth case studies and info people posted. I thought it was an amazing resource and I had so much to learn from all of you. It was such a hive of activity. There were memes. There were facts. There was humour and joy.

Then there was a pump and I realised that everyone’s a genius when the market is going up.

After a few months, I started thinking “Maybe most of these people are sheep and I should stay away from what they recommend?” A coin of the moment would be constantly be shilled and pump so high, then inevitably dump and people get screwed and angry.

Followed by the delusional phase “BTC to 100k EYO” in December 2021 when it was clearly tanking.

And now everyone’s just arguing if we’re in a bear market or a bull market.

When you first joined r/cc did you think everyone was a genius like I did, or did you take your rose coloured glasses off a lot sooner than me? How have your perceptions of this thread changed for you over time?
