So the method a lot of people have had is to put 10% of their holdings onto an exchange with leverage. I've seen this method a lot lately and I'm wondering what everyone's opinion is on it? I know leverage is very rarely a good thing, but in this market we have (hoping most people don't have their life savings in it) what the risk tolerance of having a small percentage of your crypto portfolio as almost "gamble money" in a sense - although it's all just gambling really.
I think the two stances are usually something like:
1) Happy to risk a small percentage of my portfolio for higher returns, because if it goes sour, all I lose is that small amount plus the percentage decrease within my portfolio which I was going to eat anyway.
2) Leverage bad, very bad.
Hopefully I don't start a war here.
