Buying is easy. Selling in profit is difficult. I have been in the space in 2016 and my biggest error is not planning my exits in those early years. In the midst of a bull run, everything you do looks genius. 20% pumps in a day, you called that. ETH to 6k, yea, you are going to say you saw that coming. No one takes credit for the bloodbaths though. The -20%, +15%, -50% 3 day. Stop opening the calculator app and doing some bullshit fantasy math that this will go green forever on short time frames. This is not the time to see what Lambos are selling for if this is your first or second bull run.

So do it now. Plan your exits. While greed is not at a peak, write down your first staged sale of 5-10% of your holdings and go from there. At what price are you happy selling a fraction of your holdings? Then what’s the next price. Always leave a bit in for the long game or unexpected green dildos, but if you want to make money, get a plan together to get several exits totaling 40-60% of your holdings. Then when those planned numbers hit, you have to exit. It’s got to be done with a serial killer level of emotionless. You’re not tied to the coins or the project or the team, you are defined by gains. You feel no remorse after selling and you see Green Day’s because you hope to hit your next exit.

Plan for taxes, pay yourself back for your initial investment and then keep it liquid to buy back in when the bears come back home. On a long enough timeline, they always come back home.
