Why can't i get any straight answers from other popular finance subs???

Its the weirdest thing.

Heres how it goes usually.

Example#1

Them: Buy a house so you can have generational wealth

Me: interest rates are %8 and beatup shacks are going for $500k.

Them:its ok, just get in. Prices always goes up mysteriously. It is an investment .Refinance in 5years. Stop making your landlord rich.

Example#2:

Them: make sure you max out your 401k. The stock market always goes up

Me: the markets have been propped up artificialially since 2008 by fed. And now the markets are dependent on them. Is that sustainable for the next 20+ years when its time for me to retire??

Them: we had a pandemic in 2020. And the markets still recovered. Don't worry,it always goes back up no matter what. We are the USA. Nothing bad can happen. Just live your life and follow the same investment strategies as your parents. everything is fine.

Me:......

I don't even go to these subs to start trouble or bring up Bitcoin. I asked questions that I generally want to know the answers to. When I asked these simple questions I met with heavy downvotes and their responses always something the along the lines of : "markets always go up".

No nuance and how this whole system is being propped up. Why is this mainly ignored in popular finance subs?? I just cant understand it.

I have a 401k. But im ready if it goes to 0 and doing risk management as best i can. But it seems like that concept is lost on a lot of people.

I like The BTC sub because the economic conversations are more realistic and grounded in reality. No one is guaranteeing anything and just get straight to the facts.
