ERC-777 is a fungible token standards that is exactly the same as ERC-20 (fully compatible with dapps that use it) plus it allows you to add some really cool features. It seems like ERC-777 allows things like preventing transfers to certain wallets or locking funds in wallets for a certain amount of time. Seems super useful. I understand it adds a bit more bloat, but why aren't I seeing projects using it?
Edit: Could one theoretically go 777 on L2 and bridge to ERC20 on L1?
